Collaborating with Artificial Intelligence - Music or Muzak?
Looks like a slow news day/night here on the AB forum, so I will pass along another email I received from an online course.
"Anna Gaca from Spin hit the nail on the head with her headline about new technology called Flow Machines: “The World’s First Songs Composed by Artificial Intelligence Are Neither First Nor Entirely Artificial.” This news is a big deal, but it doesn’t mean that you have to quit writing songs because robots will soon replace you. You’re still needed in the field of songwriting! These recent compositions that are being touted as the first songs composed by AI are actually the result of a collaboration between the Flow Machines and French musician Benoît Carré. Carré wrote the lyrics, arranged, and produced the songs while the Flow Machine used algorithms to compose the music in a particular style."

Collaborating with Artificial Intelligence.
You mean like we do all day on this forum?
Just what I was hoping for- I look on it as an advanced 'randomize' feature for my compositions
Zing! (I'll try not to take that personally.)
Yeah, a randomizer is a bit of AI, isn't it?
the PG Music software Band in a Box does exactly that AI thing for ages ...
