Lightning to 3,5 jack adapter doesn't work as input?
Hello,
recently I bought ligtning to 3,5 jack adapter from the Apple website. I was hoping it will work as input so I could plug in my Pocket Operators and use iPad for effects. First time I plugged it in and used NoteStack - it worked. As I restarted the application and replugged it, it stopped. Since then everytime I plug in the adapter with any synthensizer I have it automatically accepts it/shows it as headphones. I tried NoteStack with AmpliTube, reinstalling both of them, restarting my iPad multiple times but nothing helps. Input is always set to built-in microphone.
Is there any way I could make it work again?
Thank you.
Edit: After a few hours I tried to plug in one of my POs using the Lightning to 3,5 jack again, not expecting it would work. iPad automatically connected it as an input. BUT after I replugged it - it stopped working again and nothing works to get it back. (Even connecting it while in sleep mode as I thought before would work).

This is a really good question. ...and I don't know the answer.
What we need to know is: Does the DAC in the adapter include a mono input, accepted from the TRRS 3.5mm headphone jack? Or is the DAC stereo out only?
Have you tried this?
@mschenkel.it I think he has that exact item.
@redismad you are going to need some cable that separates the mic input from the stereo output. something like the IK "iRig" or Griffin "guitarconnect".
According to the product description it should work. So if it doesn't get a replacement item or a refund.
Is not the item. Are the question and answers at the bottom of apple's product page
For some reason it worked again today, I edited the post with a video I made in the meantime.
(I will propably double post since my previous not-published-yet comment included link to the video but required a check from mods I guess)
Don't you need an audio interface like the BEHRINGER U-CONTROL UCA222 to get this sort of thing working properly?
I would have thought it was a Digital to Anologue Converter and not the other way around. I'm surprised it ever worked as an input.
If you go to @mschenkel.it 's link at the apple page, then scroll down to comments... it looks like others are having the same problem you're having, ie. worked, then it didn't work... then it starts working again. I didn't read far enough to see if anyone had a fix or workaround.
The input is via the lightning slot with a female 3.5- coming from the PO so it would be analogue to digital- The input is not being attempted via the 3.5 headphone slot- as far as I understand it?
PO (analogue)- input to lightning adapter. Lightning adapter into iPad- that is being attempted?
A quick proof it really works until you decide to unplug it.
