  • I love Sugarbytes. I know they're a small team, but they seem to keep churning out new and exciting apps, most of which make their way to iOS. Their support for iOS is impressive. Effectrix and Turnado have both been updated in quick succession. Maybe it precedes a new release? I know they've been working on something for iOS.

  • Sweeeeeet!!

How do we get these guys to add a full screen mode/button(no xy pads in background. Barely use them anyway)?
It's seriously too small on my mini. Zoomed in is not fun either.

    Egoist. Please.

  • On the roll now, they've cracked the code only a matter of time before egoist

Hey wait, but how is it supposed to work?

Just had a great session using egoist next to gadget within AUM. It stayed in sync beautifully for the duration and even displayed link like behaviour, waiting for the beginning of the bar when started towards the end of the bar.

Hope they add link soon but I'm not sure whether there will be any improvement if they do. The only issue I found was having to switch between the apps but that's AUM. Audiobus still has upper hand with the transport bar on the side.

  • yes, I have found that egoist is really solid sync'd through AUM--almost makes me not need Link in Egoist. Gotta say that having Turnado Linked has been awesome though. I'm not sure why but it was never as solid with the MIDI clock sync as Egoist.

I wonder if Kuvert (also sans Link) plays nicely with AUM as well. This has been lingering on my Wish List for some time as I await an update.

  • Turnado still doesn't have tempo beneath 45, though? I thought tempo down to 20 comes with Link?, anybody know what's up here (yes, I need those sloooow things)?

  • Yeah Egoist IAA sync is very good but Link will be very useful especially since it means you won't have to use a host to sync. It makes the app behave more like a piece of hardware, load it up and it's in sync.

Encouraged by the great jam I tried to map some controls to my minimix so I wouldn't have to go back and forth between apps. Egoist is ace and listens to pretty much everything but Gadget with the lack of straight forward midi command for transport it gets fiddly always going back to it and tap the little triangle while I'd rather be on say, Turnado page. I'm also still in the dark on how to midi control mixer faders in gadget.

Anyway, I know it is Korg wanting us to buy their hardware but it ain't happening any time soon with me. I wander what other arpy companion there might be for egoist?

It gets a bit lonely at times all of its own.

  • @supadom what are you using gadget for in this setup?

    Mostly synths, arps/pads, Tokyo.
