As a six foot three, seventeen stone Irish maniac I get pretty much no abuse at all in the real World

Note to self. When reviewing your SOTMC tunes, comment using the word "brilliant"..... ALWAYS! ;)

That's funny. I suddenly picture the three of us out on the tiles and there's a wiry Mister Punk in the background, winding up his two tall and burly brethren to do his indignant bidding :)

Mine's a pint of Olde Donkey!

One of my favorite ploys back a thousand years ago when American friends would come over to London was to let them get into the British swing of things by ordering a round. Would always send them up to ask for a few pints of 'Penguin'...

The way the microbrewery thing's going they'd probably come back with a tray of foaming, golden ale now - you can get all sorts these days :) I've got a mate who runs his own little cider business - I've suggested a few titles for his wares but he's yet to use them "sorry Monzo, I don't think 'Molten Eskimo Love Triangle' will sell too well with our discerning hipster customers.

Talking of which I've been invited out to our local micro pub by a drummer mate in town tonight - two pints of penguin it is then!

  • I had sEven of those tonight /hic

  • Forgettable isn't so bad. Really bad stuff is unforgettable, like Smash Mouth.

  • The "go away" part sounds personal, like it's somebody you know.

As for "forgettable", I'm not sure why that's supposed to be so severely insulting? Just for noting that my reproductive organs are internal, I've had far worse comments right here on this forum, many of them from the commenters in this.very thread.

So maybe take as you give? Or something.

Well. I disagree with our anonymous Austrian. I think you should, in a bold act of defiance, not go away.

Absolutely right. We're very fond of you Mr. Goodyear.

I'm with Mr Goodyear too! Talented man...

  • Maybe it was a Dyslexian Australian.

You are reminding me of an equally long time ago, before English swear words were well known in the US,. I was attending a convention in NYC and had reception page Mr Harry Bollocks. When spoken in an American accent this amused my fellow Brits. :)

:open_mouth: C´mon boys, thats no way to tread a lady.

btw. I don't think "go away your music is forgetable" is bad, it sounds like a 10 year old trying to misbehave uh I found a way to send anonymous messages be scared :D
so someone doesn't like the way you express yourself and doesn't like your music, meh, life with it, you are a grown man (I guess, youngsters don't speak like that)
offensive goes like this: (you don't want to read this) XXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX §$§&%§&%(/%%$$ 11!
    ;)

I think Captain Goodyear's normal method of dealing with the trolls is a good example for us all: just ignore, and move on.

Well, I try anyway - I had to rebuild myself and create a Pro update - the old one was getting a bit rattled and bent.

I'm sure half of the spats on here wouldn't have happened though if we'd all been sitting around a pub table, rather than typing worms on a page. I used to frequent a web developers forum a few years back, and regularly fell out with one of the grumpier members. Then out of the blue he suggested popping in for a cuppa with his wife (also a forum member) as they were passing through the area. We got on like a house on fire, and became good friends, yet back online he was still the same tosser (me too).

    Just goes to show something.

    That'd do for me.

Hey, that's why I love this forum. I went from being told to go away to knowing where I might like to go to :)

  • A retronym is a lexical time machine. It calls up entities past and present and juxtaposes them in the mind’s eye.

    U r welcome. ^^
We really cultivated this kind of interesting OT talk here,
Sometimes you read a topic and someone says something totally unrelated and you think wow, I never thought of it that way, let's try this. ^^
That's why I got so alarmed when ppl tried to bug Sebastian to regulate stuff...
