  • On your link the price is not 24,99-29,99 but 130,99 dollars... Which is a bit different (just about a hundred bucks lol).
But thanks for making me dream for a short time ;-)...

  • Sorry... I did not see your code... Will try that now

  • Ok tested and working... But I decide not to buy for 2 reasons : (1) the site does not look professional at all and (2) their is no sample / no examples to listen to... But thanks a lot for the tip man...

  • Can't comment quality of these specific loops and samples but zero-go are a reputable company in my experience.
Customer service is good too. I bought one of their vocaloids from them and about 2 years later asked them how to upgrade it to version 3 and got an email explaining the process the next day.

Thanks for these infos BiancaNeve... That's appreciated
But even if tempted by the huge price-drop, I realize I do not use loops from library a lot (I prefer to steal my loops on old records and unknown stuff) and the size of the library itself is too big for me ;-)

But for someone who like loops libraries, this is a steal... Go go go !

  • I have purchased as a block for the 14 year old urchin indoors (in my day we had to content ourselves with a set of the Encyclopedia Britannica my mum bought from a dodgy bloke on the doorstep...). Will report as to what I find when the download's done...

    But wait, there's MORE!

There's also a World compilation and a couple of Dance compilations.

You know, for those of you out there who have a Sugar Daddy like JG. =P

@telecharge OK. An absolute SHEDLOAD of loops, as indicated which should ruin the kid for making any real music anytime soon. He will run them mostly in ACID and they seem to stretch just fine there. Am going to bring in a few drum loops (there are A LOT of drum loops) and maybe some melody pieces into blocs and see how they play...

Thank you for respecting my copyright.

  • No key or tempo info....F*CK.

Depends on the software you're using, doesn't it?

    Is this true?

Maybe you can educate us here, but in my experience not all software is equal. JG already said they could be stretched, so they should adjust to whatever tempo the host is set to. In my own experience, results may very on getting accurate key info, but most apps are good at giving you the root key, at least.

  • Also, this. :D

  • Some might find this amusing as well. Five years old this is...

    http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/garagebands-greatest-hits-487787

  • The stretching appear to be over time (apple/acid etc) and works well, especially for the very many drum loops this collection holds, BUT with a few folders of exceptions where key IS given, the majority of 'musical' loops have no key designated in the file name. I imagine they will work for Blocs etc if one designates them, but.......grrr. I'm sure I am making an elementary error here somewhere OR maybe -as AIFF Apple loops- they can/are recognized (key wise) by some/all Apple products?

  • Maybe something like GB will identify the tempo and key but I'm trying to import into samplr and blocs wave. It's really hard to coordinate loops without key or tempo listed in the file name.

Yup. Let's hope some savvier folks will point us in the right direction. I don't REALLY care as the Kid will use these in ACID happily enough, but I feel like I'm on a quest now...maybe will bring some into GB....

I'm playing around with Launchpad (new toy) and the app does stretch, but does not auto read the key. I might be wrong, but I haven't found it yet! LOL... So a gajillion loops with no key info might be a nightmare for mixing in Launchpad.

  • I put a big ol' disclaimer in the OP.

Good move. I'm not irked, overall, as someone in the house will get my money's worth, but it's a hell of a pity when I think of Blocs. Ah well....

For anyone who purchased and feels the least bit slighted, I would encourage you to go take a look at the big names in loops like The Loop Loft, Loopmasters, Big Fish, etc. and see how many properly labeled loops you get for your dollars/euros/pounds, and compare it to this offering. I also ass-u-me-d that most here knew that Apple Loops = AIFF, but apparently that's not the case. I doubt I will post any future deals on the forum.

There is software that will identify the key/BPM of the loops AND rename them in batches. I can offer suggestions if anyone is interested.

  • Don't sweat it @telecharge

It's an amazing deal and I appreciate the heads up. I'm using Mixed In Key to analyze and rename the loops automatically. I've wanted the software for a while, so while I was originally irked by the crappy naming convention, I've taken it as an opportunity to buy the software.

That's the spirit. I have a feeling we're going to win this war...

  • @telecharge I really appreciate you posting deals like these for software and apps as well as itunes cards. So thank you. I picked up the pro pack and as the site clearly stated they are Apple loops for garageband (and logic) although usable with software that accept the aiff format. If you drag the loops or loop folders into your Mac Garageband's loop browser, you will be able to see the tempo and key of each loop (make sure you have that setting checked in the garageband loop option. So while that information is not in the filenames, they are available within the apple loop file itself.

  • @JohnnyGoodyear

Where there's a will there's a way. I think you once said all roads lead to Auria. For me, most of my inspiration takes a detour through Samplr, stop for an ice cream in Blocs and crashes on the couch in Auria before getting shipped off to Ableton and never listened to again.

That's funny. Apart from the very last part which sounds FAR too familiar... :)
