SampleTank: MOOG IAP

Hi,
Does anyone have this IAP?
With all other apps out with MOOG sounds, why is this a good purchase?
I am a big MOOG fan, so is this a must have or am I better off sticking with the tweakable MOOG emulations available?
Or are these so right on, it is a grab?
Are the sounds of high quality?

    I can't help feeling that between Model 15, Animoog and iMini, I don't need another source of Moog sounds. But I'm still half tempted...

    Animoog, Model 15, and Synthmaster are all I use BESIDES Sampletank.

    So, I figure at $10 - better spent on a brand I love then say on..................................

It is sort of like a carpenter whose wife complains she can't get him to remodel the basement, but, he says to his wife, "I work 60 hours a week doing that, it is a lot to do it on my free time as well".
    4. I very well sometimes end up using another synth and replace the Sampletank sound if I want something more unique, but at least I have this great new interface to sketch the project with.l
    5. IK Media has always been prompt and courteous with their service as well
    6. I am just impressed with such a bold upggrade and challenging themselves and raise the bar
    7. I love the performance mode and the ease of getting a jam going
    8. Did I mention Sampletank Pro SOUNDS are amazing?

    I might go 'SampleTank' once it gets an AUv3/AU-X/AudioUnitExtension.
    I'm currently 'cleaning' my iPad and getting rid of apps that just take space and do not get used that much...
    (Yamaha SynthBook & Looptical to name a few, thats almost ~2GB :D)

    thanks for this, i'm going to check it out, i used to have sample tank and sonic synth on the desktop years ago, but haven't looked into it on iOS really

    Oh, you haven't at all on IOS?

    You will be pleased.

    Much like Synthmaster and Alchemy, the transition from PC to IOS was painless and creative leap.

    The old Sampletank, I would say, "eah so so", the new Sampletank, its ideal.

    For instance, you can put a song together literally on the fly with another app like Genome or Modstep with Sampletank in the performance mode. There are no apps that allow the ease of entire song production with multi timbral and QUALITY like this. And you can do more with this app than any other as far as diverse sound options.

    I have done folk type ambient mediation hymnals to industrial goth type mechanized music to traditional house to Locomotive breath covers all with JUST SAMPLETANK.

    You don't have any IAP from Sampletank?

    I would definitely recommend the PRO IAPs, Future Synths, and MOOG IAPs.

    It is a hog on memory, but well worth it in my opinion.

    This is where I am, too. I love SampleTank, but it takes up as much space as Cubasis 2 and Gadget combined (IAPs not included). :o

    For now, I will have to make do with the "old" version on my iPod.

    The old STank never worked well making loops for me. It was so obscure with no visual on the loop length and the odd count in, the new one has a "loop markable" representation of bars for timing and such.

    And the new MPC detailed style drum pads are nice this time.

    I hear you on space, but I think this app has value beyond things I removed.

    I tidy up once a week with files, like deleting Cubasis and Loopy back factory size to trim the fat.

    Same on most apps for me actually.

    I totally get it, @RustiK. I was only speaking to my own situation. I would very much like to be using the updated SampleTank, but I can't afford the space. :/

    EDIT: I should also mention I have SampleTank 3 on my laptop. :)

    Once SampleTank gets AUv3 I might consider getting it...
    (I don't like routing stuff thru AudioBus and IAA's one instance per session drives me nuts).

    I guess with the multi-timbral element and all the MIDI channels to use I compromise a bit.

    Are you sure this is on sale? I checked other IAP like Sampletank Pro and saw it at 39.99 so doesn't seem like IAPs in Sampletank are on sale but maybe it's a discount on Moog sounds, maybe you know the standard price.

    The new Sampletank is Hugely Better than the previous one - the same instruments sound so much better, you get 8 rather than 4 tracks, new ways to play...
