  • Thanks @jefflovv. Have to be honest and say I picked up Alina (at 100% :)), but haven't made it sing yet. Anyone got any good feedback/happy tales?

  • I already own Galileo, but I've always been curious tempted PocketOrgan (because is universal app).

One of my favorite favorite apps. I occasionally have IAA trouble with it hanging but get over it because it sounds so good.

Find your inner brood, add a dash of directionless anger, channel your inner Tubeway Army era Gary Numan and play some low notes, slowly. Put your favorite phaser, flanger and/or delay apps in the chain and rejoice.

Alina nails the sound of the "synths" that turn of the 80s bands could afford. Particularly when you think about the cost of polyphony in 1978!

    Welcome to the forum @jefflovv.

  • Ah, the Alina Strings are my Pink Floyd strings go to, and strangely it responds really well to aftertouch. I'm surprised nobody said anything about that yet. I use an EWI controller into the iPad and with some external effects from Magellan or some such app it really comes alive. Great at accordion emulation too, especially with the aftertouch used properly.

Gonna do that Professor. Might wear all black at that. Will report back.

Aftertouch is one of those things/words I just drift blindly over. I associate it (based on nothing at all) with external controllers only etc and as I mostly plink along on the glass, presume it has nothing to do with me. But now you've got me thinking (damn you :))...

PS. Add in Funkbox with the CR-78 loaded for the full 1979 experience.

  • Alina strings is great. As said it has this 80's strings sound.

Yeah, sorry 'bout that. I'm gonna change my name to the catalyst.

  • Love Alina Strings. Power Corruption & Lies, Disintegration, etc etc.

One must also have the free Eminent Unique 310 soundfont in ones arsenal (it's easily googlable).
