Yes, my iPad instrument feels almost complete.
I have Synths of many kinds. I have pianos, electric keyboards, organs, guitars, horns, orchestra. I have DAWs both large and small. I have enough FX and warpers to make my dog howl.
Only really want a slightly better keyboard sampler and wave chopping suite to round things off.
So for myself I really look forward to those unsung heroes of updates - those that add multiple audio outs, round off midi spec, enhance import and export options and updates that keep everything running smoothly.
So no more app purchases? Hmmm well, I'm not going to go that far! Gotta have a new app now and again

I know the feeling. I haven't bought an app in nearly two months and don't see anything on the horizon.
Until they release AUv3 versions of any decent Audio processors, or Mr @Fruitbat1919 you beloved Andromeda....

I've bought quite a few recently, and apps like Addictive Pro and Blocs have added a whole new thing to the way I work. You never know what's around the corner.
Just bought Korvpressor, and am delighted using it as an AU and with AudioBus. Like so many great ideas, it takes what can be complex and makes it simple. Very easy to use, yet capable of much subtlety and to my ears a lovely bright sound.
Actually the topic is 100% spot on what software is about for more than a decade
No matter if music or office or even programming.
All those little things spread all over the place - workflow ? forget it ... must be a sign of the times.
You may have an assitant talking about what's in your fridge, but you cannot even pick a couple of files from disk in a convenient way, that's as stupid as it was ages ago.
Not that I want to complain, I've become used to it ...
