Klevgränd Produktion also known as KLEVGR has made yet another brilliant Audio Unit app. Not only does Tines sound like an electric piano. It is also named after the actual part, that makes a Rhode electric piano sound like it does. Tines is a new app and is not yet available on the AppStore. Keep an eye on KLEVGR's site for announcements! Preliminary release date on Thursday October 20'th.

    Thanks for the demo Jakob ,it sounds good .My Only cons would be the user interface ,the same as Jussi ,Perhaps too much basic but the sound is Nice. Enkl of Klevgrand is one my fav AU ,really powerful little mono synth .

    Sounds good - it is either physically modelled or uses velocity switching, as the tone and not just the volume changed when demonstrating velocity. And you can always add extra fx in your DAW. I already have a nunber of sources for e-piano sounds, but this will be worth a shot if it's not too expensive.

    Very nice sound a lovely clear interface. Would be even nicer if there were a collection of electric pianos selectable within this app. But will likely buy it anyway.

    Love their stuff, especially in a post-AU universe. Going to be a grinch and be the bugger who mutters about not loving the 'splash of watercolor' as a background, but that's only a problem of the first world maybe...

    Thanks for the preview. When looking at an el piano emulations I always end up comparing the app to the IMO giant in that area: NeoSoul Keys. Giant in stature but also in size and CPU footprint so this new piano would defo be the way to go if size and resources are concerned, having said that I don't know how resource heavy this is so, there you go.

    As far as the sound (plug warning) NeoSoul Keys is the one to drool with. Having said that it needs a bit of equing to get it to sit well in the mix, just as you would have to do with a real electric piano I expect. When solo it is hard to tell it from the real thing.

    Anyway, it would be nice to hear Tines in the mix and find out its ram/cpu footprint

    This is quite nice....I would have loved an integrated chorus but this is a real step forward for AU...I love Enkl as well.

    Pretty dream to have Neo (which is the beetroot's bananas, no question) and A.N.Other with a small footprint as well. Looking forward to this...

    I really enjoy and appreciate your reviews, especially the ones that i stumble across when I'm trying to figure something out.

    I'm confused. You sound like the soundtestroom guy. But i always imagined a nerdy, pale, Irish/Scottish dude after listening all these years. Forgive my ignorance, I'm not excactly the brightest tool in the closet.

    Looks like it uses a modelling approach then with that footprint, I suspected it did from the demo.

    =D You must have Missed all of my vlogs. I show my face in pretty much all of those videos.

    I did work at the soundtestroom site during the past year upptill it closed. But my former colleague Doug Woods thesoundtestroom youtube Channel is still active on Youtube. I'm just back to being haQ attaQ again. :)

    Oh, and here's a mind blower; I'm actually from Sweden! =D

    I will break ranks and say that I didnt find neo soul to be that great at all. I was surprised because it gets huge praise around here. I didnt like the velocity and tone inconsistencies with the samples, its latency issues, or its tone in general. iElectric offers much more variety of tones and better performance for me. Garage band and module also offer nice EPs. Gonna try this out this weekend, demo sounds pretty good.

    I love these guys. Their stuff always reminds me to keep it simple and use my ear. All of their apps get a lot of use from me. Jussi, the latest, has gotten a lot of love from me for sound when played as a soft pad.

    Downloaded as well, can't shake a 'sound' I have in my head with Tines, Jussi & Enkl and some weird DnB beat it would sound totally insane. Icing on the cake would be to be able to make jussi 'cough' when he can't keep up with the tempo :D
