People mock SunVox? No no no... people use SunVox as the answer to everything. It's use and intricacies can be opaque though.
Thanks. I'm technical enough to understand this, but too lazy to want to pay for the privilege. Also, this isn't going to be an option for some people. So I'm mostly moaning for the principle of it. Also what if you have one device and not the other, but you have to wipe and reinstall the app, but the IAPs are for the other one. Now you're caught with your pants down. I get that there's going to be relics as the platform evolves, but an app from the likes of Moog shouldn't be one of them. Come on @MoogMusicInc ! Show us you care! Represent Asheville!
Anyways @johnfromberkeley, I do sincerely appreciate the tip, and I hope for those that have the option it solves their particular problem.
DRC is a great app and the developer is an OUTSTANDING dude and an acquaintance.
However, it does some how rub me in a less than pleasurable way when I hear Animoog being run down in any way at all.
One of the key things that makes Animoog so special for IOS is its USE OF THE IOS INTERFACE in the playablility of the app.
The spatial component of implementing timbres on the IPHONE/IPAD is incredible and unparalleled in IOS synth terms.
I don't think I ever heard these negative comments about Animoog before. Kind of surprised actually.
But, we all have our own opinion.
Sorry if I offended. To be clear, I'm not speaking negatively of the app. I want the app. Really want it. I might break down and buy the separate iPhone/iPad versions. I've been holding out in protest of the IAPs not being universal. Perhaps there's some technical issue that makes rolling up the two code bases into one universal release not so easy. I think if @MoogMusicInc would just communicate on the matter then it would seem less like their intention is just to get you to buy the IAPs twice. Maybe the IAPs are so good we should all buy them twice. Regardless, I'm not complaining about the app itself. Just the packaging. As lust worthy as Model 15 is, I think Animoog is the more revolutionary kit, for exactly the reasons you state. So I'm a bit saddened to think, in the process of nitpicking a particular bone, I've offended someone whose opinions I've very much come to respect on the various threads here. So please don't think I'm knocking the wonderful UI of Animoog. I really was just moaning about the IAPs not being universal. Perhaps I should find another hobby. Like say, oh, I dunno, actually learning to make music, heh
Because.
IFunbox is free I'm certain.
And I'd been assuming it was more of a Beetlejuice kinda thing, heh
In my imaginary experience one almost always leads to the other...
…and also.
Funny how Mister A is (rightly) known for his rubber-faced abilities, but it is his absolutely straight-face wherein so much of the comedy lies....
