nice! i like the robert palmer reference too
I am not adverse to Mr Palmer's output but reference was more to this
Let's be nerdy: the "original" reference belongs to neither the documentary or to Mr Palmer, but to Gary Numan.
To be super nerdy both songs were 1980 apparently
I'm missing this one.
I have the chorded xkey. It has this proprietary USB cable that is very narrow. I've emailed them on where to get another cable. They never replied.
Maybe they're trying to get me to buy the air.
I saw Gary Numan on the Telekon tour - the only time I've been to a concert where there were screaming girls in the audience (not much of that at Hawkwind gigs)
A year or so ago, my orange xkey issue USB cable glitched out. I emailed xkey about it & they responded within a week. A replacement USB cable arrived in the mail a few weeks later. I would email them again.
Looks good, but I'd miss the wheels (or ribbons).
Seen him about ten times. There are still screaming fans, but they are in their forties / fifties now
I screamed at a Hawkwind gig. Had my ear-ring ripped out when it got caught in a girls dreadlocks
My nephew's a massive fan, bordering on the obsessive. I like his early stuff, prefer Hawkwind though...
I was shocked to read that he is married to a woman. Who would have thought.
Yeah had some mates at the local YMCA who would dress up like Numan all the time lol
Love Hawkwind too, but again it's hard to say which period. Used to go to my mates house to listen to his Hawkwind on vinyl. Some of the early CDs I got of theirs were pretty poorly mastered. Or maybe it's just remembering the good times chilling listening to the vinyl?
Yes would try again, I had a few connection issues to Auria and they were responsive and helped me figure out what was happening
@Fruitbat1919
Are you sure they didn't try to look like this guy - frank tovey? lol
No love for fad gadget here?
Yes Collapsing New People ticks my boxes
The Virgin Prunes are probably one of the favourite bands of my youth
Haha, seams like you wore to much black eyeliner too.
Yeah my mother helped me make some of my more weird clothes Now I just wear what's comfortable now I'm old, balding in places and chubby haha
Lucky you
I had to go around the corner to change outfits.
The neighbors were kind of cool, they never told them.
I like FG. Saw him play once, banging a Syndrum against his head, cutting it open.
Every week was a fancy dress party. Fun times
The classic Space Ritual period is the best. I've bumped into most of them over the years, and see Nik Turner all the time - he lives not far away and used to be in a band with my ex. All great geezers, and they'd play the free festivals for nowt.
I've only got PXR5 and Quark, Strangeness and Charm left. Kinda sad really
