Looks just like the beginning of a new portable setup
I've got zoom u24 as a birthday present a month ago and only now had time to plug it in.
So far no powered USB hubs required and there's definitely enough control to strangle a cat.

...and with midi in it didn't take me long to engage mr foot controller
Which isn't exactly as portable as others but believe me it is better that way. You don't want to be stomping on a lightweight equipment.
Nice! Any reports on the quality of Audio in and out on that zoom unit?
No difference from Akai EIE. The preamps are decent, they give a good push without distorting even when the clip light is on. All works as intended. Also no issues with 5 pin midi. Very nice indeed. I've got to start looking for some ply to encase it in. This time way more compact than the last one
Nice. Minimal usb hub going on there. I've been using a "RockBand" usb hub.
You had to go for the right name, right?
The quality of hubs varies vastly so it's always good to give them a try beforehand. I have about 4 and only 2 work without issues.
which two are the working.....?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, looks like nice setup... ...glad you like present
I just finished tweaking my own and I had hard time finding small 25 full keys controller WITH midi out...hard to find...
Found miditech midistart 25, plugged into BSP sequencer and it goes to U-24.
USB out of U-24 to iPad.
I use everything MIDI connected going into U-24 and all is powered with a battery pack.
No 220V ac necessary.
Reason for that was all the keyboard controllers I wanted were USB, powered from iPad and I can't use a USB keyboard to control BSP...no MIDI in...
So I stopped using USB hub altogether.
Thanks for the heads up @supadom. I've had me eyes on the U24 and U44 for a while now. Good to hear the preamps are decent.
@supadom
Could you send us the links to the both working hubs?
And maybe the name if the 2 which doesnt work....
Sorry @obiwahnkentobi I currently live in chaos, I'll have to get back to you with ones that don't work, might have binned them for all I know.
The one I'm using is called 4 ports but I suspect is one of those names that are invented on a wim.
