korg module in gadget
just about to pull the trigger but have 2 questions i can't find the answers to:
1. i keep reading about in app purchases working in gadget. does the regular module add the 5 instruments shown in gadget or are extra iap required? or is this just that the electric piano (for example) is expanded with more sounds?
2. do these show up in gadget on the iphone, since it doesn't appear on my list in the iphone, only the ipad.

Module 'adds' 5 new gadgets.
I don't own many IAPs in Module but at least the Wurley, Triton and Mellow Tape IAPs are available in 'Gadgets'. Wurley in the Montreal Gadget and Triton and Mellow Tape in Glasgow Gadget.
I've heard that the 'Gadgets' sync over together with some Module IAPs except for the iVory Grand IAP.
I don't have a phone available for testing and my 16GB iPhone 5 is not ideal 'Gadget iPhone'.

Fwiw module does work as advertised on the phone too. Got it today. Makes an awesome app friggin awesome.
Bought Gadget on iPhone when it went universal, then later Module when it did. First time I opened Gadget after installing Module on iPhone it said something about setting up the new gadgets. Can confirm that the five module gadgets are present in Gadget. The only IAP I have for Module is Mellow Tape. Can confirm the additional tape presets are present in the Glasgow Gadget. The only IAPs I made within Gadget were for Bilbao and Abu Dhabi.
Hi, do I need iphone version to see my IAP in Gadget in Korg Module? Now Module works in Gadget on the phone even without iphone version.
Different gadgets has purchased banks (on ipad), but only module doesn't. Do I have to purhase iphone version of Module, and once more purchase my IAPs?
Bought Module a few days ago and familiarized myself with it in stand alone, went to open Gadget to check out the 5 Module Gadgets and see a notice that a GB+ is needed to use them inside Gadget. I thought this was in addition to the 1.3GB it eats upon purchase but after going through it dound out it does NOT add an additional GB in order to use them.
The GUI in stand alone vs. in Gadget for the Module instruments are different, but the sounds are the same. Plus Gadget has all the sounds of the stand alone so if you're not going to use Module as a stand alone I presume you can delete it and the Module Gadgets will remain? Not 100% on that.
It's worth getting though, the sounds are excellent whether using them in the app itself only or with Gadget.
Actually, it does take space. You can delete module itself and get back 1.3GB meanwhile you still retain all 5 gadgets and the IAP you purchased.

IAP from Korg Module should be restored manually, iwavestation appeared automatically, and in iodyssei also manual restore.
No, I bought Module on iPad and later installed it on my iPhone including all my IAPs. Both in the Module app and Gadget.
If they are missing, go to Module/Gadget store and select 'Restore' for your IAPs.

No, the iPhone version is a vestige of when the other Module in the store was iPad only. Since that went universal there's no reason to buy the iPhone version (unless you only wanted it on iPhone, it is cheaper)
As a side note, do other iPhone users have increased battery drain and heat when using Module in Gadget? I'm using an iPhone 7 and the Module gadgets affect performance more than any other. I'm asking because I would like to purchase Lexington, but I heard it is bad for this. I wonder if it is equal to or worse than the Module gadgets.
Excellent, I wasn't sure if that was the case or not. I still may hold on to the stand alone app for awhile but knowing I won't lose the Gadgets if I do decide to shit can it is awesome. Thanks man...
In my experience all gadgets drain battery (when opened and played on). When I play the base gadgets, battery drain seems equal to when using Module/Lexington.
Reporting to Korg is all we can do.

Korg ODYSSEi is available as the Lexington Gadget
IPolysix is not loadable inside Gadget.

Korg Module allows you to play one sound at a time, but it seems like its instruments are also available in Gadget... does Gadget let you play more than one of them at a time (triggering them on different MIDI channels)? Or if it's still limited to one in Gadget, can you play one in Gadget at the same time as you're playing another in Module? (I'm not interested in Gadget's actual functions, I'm just interested in playing more than one Module sound simultaneously, live).
You can play as many instances as your device can handle all at once, and all on different midi channels.

Also, the Scarbee EP gets added to Montreal.
But unless I'm missing something, Glasgow patch navigation is awful. With Triton and Mellow, there are over 200 sounds in there, with no good way to navigate them, you just have to keep scrolling through the little hard-to-read 4-item window. There's no full screen, full text size pop-up menu like Montreal has, or any other method of seeing more than 4 of the 200+ at a time.
I wish the individual gadgets' presets could be recalled va MIDI Program Change on whichever channel you've assigned them to.
Module is obviously better designed for live performance, but unlike Gadget, you're limited to one sound at a time. I wish there was a multi-timbral setup geared for live performance.

I bought a couple of soundpacks for hybrid but no matter what i do,module just doesn‘t show up in gadget on my ipad (restored from backup).I think it worked before i moved to a new ipad now.I reinstalled module and even got a message like“congrats you can use module in gadget“ and „gadget linked/connected“ or something like that.Of course i did restart the ipad as well etc. I do hesitate to reinstall gadget though..
edit:works now.i tried to open fairbanks on a track with an already loaded gadget and for some reason fairbanks was not visible when open the library.Creating a new track and it was there…pure magic
