Recording vocals - best practices
I'm getting ready to record some vocals for a track I'm working on. BM2 is my DAW and typically I will record directly into a new audio track into BM2, just the dry mic input. Then I add reverb & EQ using BM2's insert effects on that track.
But I'd like more control over the effects, and possibly to route the vocal track through another app, say Ad 480. I can't think of an easy way to use AB to send just the vox from BM2 through another app back into BM2.
I could use ACP to get it over to AudioShare or Loopy or something, and then process from there. But then I might as well record straight into one of those apps and then use AB to add effects with BM2 as the output.. would save a step.
How do you all do it? Any tips?
