EQualizer Techniques CUBASIS 2 │ Vocal field recordings - haQ attaQ 182
While recording vocals in a studio environment can be tough with everything from mic placements to compressor settings etc. However, I personally find field recording sessions to be far tougher. Out in the "wild" our audio streams are at the mercy of..the wild (nature, city sounds). Many times I come home with stuff that doesn't sound that good. In those cases I try to make the most of it by the use of Equalizers. So in this episode I am sharing some Equalizing techniques that I have picked up over the years.

@jakoB_haQ I know Lars from Steinberg(@LFS) visits this forum from time to time and this video is perfect example of where a real-time frequency spectrum/graph for the EQ would be perfect. I think it's already on the list of things to come
Excellent - I had to do something like that (in a very similar grassy field actually) so I can relate to the practical difficulties.
It also struck me what ridiculously powerful tool the iPad has become. If only I had had a studio-on-a-slab like this as a kid I probably would have never left the house
A field recording from an actual field.
@brambos I know what you mean. The iPad is now the closest thing to Kirby's Mother Box.
@Samu is right; FabFilter's Pro Q2 real time spectrum analizer (pre, post and pre+post) makes field recordings much easier with Auria.
Good reference. I don't want to know who would be Darkseid, though.

Nor me. But pretty sure that DeSaad is Peter Mandelson.
