Triqtraq update - Export sessions as Ableton Live sets
Haven't tried this yet! Separate Audio tracks and apparently comes bundled with Ableton Live Lite! Not bad for $3.99 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/triqtraq-jam-sequencer/id488578848?mt=8

Same goes for the Patterning update - Audio from all patterns, Link, Ableton export... much more
I've been meaning to try Ableton. Anyone know if this lite version is enough to get some solid work done?
And a few new sound kits too !!! cool
I had a dabble with it when I got it free with Gadget......I think it is limited to 8 tracks but seems pretty functional.
Yes, you'll soon bump up against the 8 track and scene limit, but the lite version is a great starter drug.
ikaossilator has Live export too... though I'm not sure if that's new, don't have that one. Here's both guidance on the particulars of the Live Lite features - but more importantly, the details of how Live works with these iOS apps - there are some differences in behavior, unrelated to version: http://ableton.github.io/export/
Fun day. Now I'm curious to see if Elastic Drums can manage to shoehorn this feature into their coming update.
I can't speak for this feature, but the feature he is currently working on takes things way beyond synthesis!!![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
Agreed. I wouldn't want to delay the new stuff any. I've been going to Elastic Drums refresher class in anticipation.
Yes, dev Tweeted yesterday that he'd like to do see Set Export in ED. If the new feature you're referring to is the Sampler, it's been plenty disclosed in preview vids and FB posts.
Really hope ModStep adds Set Export. A DaW w/ Link & Set Export would be groovy for me.
PS - Was thinking .... now anything with Link/Set Export has Ableton logo etc., they've managed to wrest control of Musical Time & Transport here in the last year.
What? No video? Lemme fix that...
What will it take to get landcape mode on this?
I can even let no MIDI go, if it just didn't make me strain my neck when I use it.
BIG BOY SAY SCAPE MY LAND BABY PLEASE
And throw in Figure and iKaoss con that
I feel stupid here, but I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong in Triqtraq or this is a bug in the newest version. Basically I can't adjust any parameters, they always just snap back to the default. Works fine if I'm automating, but if I just want to change the delay interval (for instance), no can do. What stupid simple thing am I forgetting here?
Perhaps I misunderstand you, but I thought that was the way it's supposed to work. From the appstore and their website...
"Have endless fun with the real-time sound manipulation by recording various effect and parameter sliders (Automation)."
AND
"By moving a slider, you record a sound change (the automation) to one of the 16 steps in the sequencer. This is a fast and fun way of tweaking your patterns, or come up with an unexpected twist. Highly addictive.
When changing the Pitch of a sequence, a special Chord Mode will help you stay in key. There’s also a Glide Mode for extreme pitch effects.
The Delay Send sends a channel’s sequence to the Delay Effect. There you can change and automate the delay time and amount of feedback."
My problem is that I can only change things via automation. For instance, I want the delay to be set to 1/2 notes for all parts instead of the default 1/8. If I move the delay effects settings in the delay section, the changes don't stick. They instantly snap back to 1/8th notes as soon as I take my finger off.
Same with panning or any other parameter, the second I take my finger off the slider it goes right back to Center. I don't remember having to ONLY change these via automation.
I think what you have to do is open the Delay section, toggle automate ON, make sure the record button is ON, then hold your finger at 1/2 note on the grid through an entire loop. You can then turn off the Delay automation and it should stay there.
Yeah, that I had figured out. I just never remember having to actually record the change to get it to stick before. Oh well.
Wasn't there a step-edit mode? It has been awhile since I used it, but I seem to remember it having something like that.
Edit: Just installed it to check it out and if you set it to step edit then pick you spot on the time-line and move the delay it will move to that setting and then move onto the next step.
Yep, in step Edit mode just move around whichever FX you want to (doesn't need to be playing/recording). You can also Clone your pattern at several points to save/change/etc.
