Sweet. Now I can make my Pink Floyd cover without removing the needle.
toooooooooo coooooooooool!!!!!!!!!
well... for me it doesn't work... it's just so small... it seems to take at least two more steps to do what on the iPad you can do in one, some stuff it's really really tiny and zooming (if it has zoom) it's just a hassle to use. I really like iPhone apps that are designed for iPhone, those are a pleasure to use... but this is a lot for a 4.7 screen... maybe with a magnifying glass and world finest stylus...
I want iPhone apps designed for iphone that take advantage of the form factor instead of fighting against the screen size to fit everything in there...But that's a matter of personal opinion clearly...iPhone only guys will be really happy.
For what's worth I think I would be nearly imposible to make a really awesome version of this app for iPhone. It's "the best" it could have possibly be.
As an iPhone only person, I dunno what the hell that is, but I want it.
Lol
+1
Exactly.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

On the phone it's fun to do stuff with the accelerometer.
Nice!
wait so when is the iphone version hitting the store...?
Wow!!! Very cool!!! I agree with @JonLewis When is it going to be available? If we already have iVCS3 for iPad, is this going to be changed to a universal version? Cost? Are you a beta tester? AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!
Next version will be IAA/Au and universal.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Bang.
Given that all other apeSoft apps are universal, would make since for it to be a universal update. If I had confirmation this was the case, I'd buy it right now. This is the sort of developer I want to support!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Go ahead.
I want to give them props for even doing this. An iPhone, even the Plus, isn't a replacement for an iPad. However having access to the same tool in pocket form is way better than not at all. Also a good use case might be copying patches made on the iPad to the iPhone and playing them in Gadget![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Well played!
do we have gadget to thank for this? I feel like when that went universal, everyone else was like "damn I guess there's no excuse anymore"
These guys are incredible. I'm so excited that I just made an appointment with my optometrist.
I don't see a relation whatsoever, gadget initiated this big trend of... two apps going universal several months apart from each other? I can't recall any other app going universal since gadget do it... soundfont Pro maybe?
Maybe a lot of people requested ivsc3 to go universal. Or maybe as there is an AU version coming (which already requires adjusting the app to a little screen) it was easier to do it than before?
@Lacm1993 of successfully cramming what would seem to be interfaces better suited for iPad onto the phone. But who knows.
I think yes with gadget (the sequencer part at least for me works fine) but I wouldn't call this app a successful interface for iPhone. as I said in an earlier post It's the best it could have possibly been (not meaning it's good). Its awesome to have something like this on an iPhone in your pocket but It's not an awesome app for iPhone. It's an iPad app fighting for screen space.
So, if it is universal, and we already own the iPad version, does that mean we'll have the iPhone version as well? That's what I think is being said.![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Yes and you can link them up.![B) B)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
Here comes the sound fairy,

we wish you a pleasantly disturbing evening.
Is it out? I can't find it.
Soon.
Cool beans![:sunglasses: :sunglasses:](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
Yes, it does mean that those who already paid for the iPad version will get the iPhone version for free. In my mind though the more important aspect of being universal, in the long run, is that the developer has committed to both devices. Any fixes to the core sound engine, for example, will be released for both devices simultaneously. Feature set across devices like MIDI, etc, tend to be the same for universal apps, but not as much for separate iPhone versions.
Seems that in the early days iPhones weren't nearly as powerful as iPads. So the iPhone version would be dumbed down. Now that it's actually not uncommon for a person to have an iPhone more powerful than some iPads the features can all be the same. Just a matter of how to arrange the UI on a smaller screen.
This app is a great example of one where the UI can't simply be shrunk for the iPhone. Looks like they're going the paging around route (vs for example Model 15 that uses zooming and panning around). Whether any form of bite sized access to a complex UI is enjoyable is debatable. Personally I'll just be so happy to have access to the sound on the iPhone. Hopefully it will be possible to AirDrop patches back and forth between the iPhone and iPad. Really want to thank the devs for going down this road. It's nontrivial (read expensive) to rework the UI like this. Obviously they are looking at future sales, as doing a universal update to the existing app won't make them any more money from all those that already bought. It's the cleaner solution for users though. As there will only be one entry in the AppStore, which is much less confusing. It's the right thing to do, and they can count at least one more customer as a result![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
