Apps with MIDI IN/OUT
Does anyone know what apps support both MIDI in AND out?
So far only those I found are:
..1. Animoog
..2. MOOG Model-15
..3 BassLine
..4 Bismarck b16
..5 DRC synth
..6 Navichord
There are others, but since there is no interest I don't need to update it for myself.
Wish there was a drum machine that did...preferably with 16 pads and assignable MIDI channel.
DDP and Beat machine don't...
Comments
Seline Redux Pro sends supports both midi in and out.
Oscilab?
Diode-108?
Ok. I didn't read the last part. Sorry.
ModStep can do this
GuitarCapo+ supports both midi in and out
I think iSEM and Thor can do it
Nave does it, too.
Thanks all, looks like slim picking... .
Some apps I don't own...redux, nave, guitar capo, Thor,...etc...
Diode got, deletd long time ago.The last update broke MIDI completely.
ISEM doesn't, tried it, no MIDI out....wish it did, one of my favourites...
Magellan does, but what a mess...hung notes all over the place, useless
SynthMaster Player, and Galileo also have midi out, @soundklinik, I've used Magellan's midi out and luckily didn't encounter hung notes; however it was a little fiddly to get working as I recall.
One very surprising thing I discovered is FINGER BASSLINE...amazing, because it sends MIDI in/out and when in edit mode, the 1-64 steps actually correspond to 1-64 steps on BSP....WOW....All tweaking can be done live per note, as the BSP is cycling through.
Meaning if I select step no. 19 in BassLine and push on note in FINGER BassLine (for example D#), THAT note will be written automatically on step 19 in BSP.
I mean that's great
@TozBourne , thanks, retried Magellan but no go, (it must also handle MIDI in). I get a blur of notes, just completely stuck...
..don't own the others ...
I think with iSEM, the midi out is somewhat limited, for example I can send midi to Cubasis no problem just checked, but if I remember rightly midi out to hardware was not working reliably
@soundklinik indeed, not a lot of apps, does not seem to be a priority for developers @TozBourne nice to know about Galileo & Synthmaster never tried midi out with these
