What can microbrute do with ipad?
Im thinking of getting a microbrute and have some questions. im new to analog synths. First my setup is this:
Ableton + push, steinberg ur22 interface on mbp. Im using ipad on computer atm basically as a sound module + some apps like dm2, steppolyarp and sometimes touchable. I also have an iphone that i could use instead of ipad for sound module on computer, as many of my favourite apps are universal(poison 202, isymphonic, oriental strings). I was thinking of moving my ipad to microbrute(via usb).
So i was wondering if i would be able to use steppolyarp doing the whole arp thing on microbrutes own sounds. I found that microbrute also functions as midi keyboard, so, is it possible to route ipad synths to microbrutes modulation matrix?
Line out from microbrute would go to ur22 hooked on computer, sometimes through my guitar amp as well. I would connect the midi out on ur22 to midi in of microbrute. Would it be possible to route it like this; midi from ableton/push -> microbrute(just to route the midi to ipad) -> ipads synths -> mod matrix of microbrute? And do it without latency?
Is it possible to route the audio from external source(guitar) to ipad though the microbrute(microbrutes line in)? Would be really sweet to get some use of blocs wave again this way.
Also is it possible to run microbrutes sounds thought ipad so that i could use effects on ipad and route it directly to ur22's inputs?
Main routing would be like this:
It would work right?
Is there other cool things they can do together? Im aware of midibrute

I'm not sure I 100% follow your idea, but let me share some quick pointers from my own experience.
I think if you approach the 'Brute with 2016 expectations, you'll be puzzled and/or disappointed.
Having said that; I love mine. It's a refreshing flashback to simpler times. I have mine hooked up to a Korg SQ-1 sequencer and it's like a time-machine back into 1970s Berlin. And the sound is pure and vibrant. No screens, no frills, no effects, just pure analog synthesis.
If you get to demo one, remember one very important thing: if you push the OSC knobs past 50%, they go into overdrive mode. Keep them below 50% for velvety smooth analog lushness. Many people ramp up the OSCs to full power and conclude the Brute can only do harsh sounds, which is definitely not true.
These videos really sold the machine to me:
