DRC synth not working with MIDI Controller

I love DRC - such beautiful sounds! But no matter what I do, I can't play it with either of my MIDI controllers. I have no issues with any other midi-enabled synths on iOS.

In the MIDI section of the menu, I see both of my controllers listed, and if I hit a key I see the names blink which implies that DRC is receiving MIDI from them. But no notes sound!

Anyone else have this issue?

@sinosoidal any idea why this might be or what I can do to fix it?

(Don't think it matters, but my two controllers are: Casio Privia PX-160BK & Novation Launchkey 49)

  • Hey!

Which version of DRC are you using? 1.0.8? I'm not having reports of midi not working on iOS. Everything running smoothly. Are you sure you are allowing midi input from all the channels? Can you send me screenshots of DRC midi and settings panels?

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Nuno

  • @sinosoidal Yep, I'm on 1.0.8.

I'm not at home at the moment so I don't have access to my MIDI controllers, but I'll grab some screenshots when I get a chance. Thanks!

  • @sinosoidal here are my setting/midi panels (FYI only had one midi controller, the Casio, connected when I took these screenshots)

  • Everything looks normal to me. That's odd!

  • Do you have any other midi controller that you can try with?

  • Well, I have an Alesis QX25 hooked up and working normally with DRC. Have you tried Midiwrench (free)? Great for troubleshooting MIDI problems.
