  • That's it. Enough is enough. I'm not ever buying another synth that only has iTunes export / import.

Amen. Here's the thing, I can fire off an HD video, nearly every format of technical documents, vector art, high-res images, animated stickers of two pizza slices humping each other and basically everything else imaginable from this device, from anywhere, sans iTunes. Why in holy hell is it a struggle 90% of the time to export / import / share / distribute presets? It's one thing if we're talking about hundreds of wavetables or big sample libraries, but 5kb worth of metadata sometimes seems like pushing a boulder up a hill. :|

  • Thanks, Flo.

I've noticed there's very little talk about FM4 anymore. Any ideas why that is?

  • From the description:

Six operators for Pith or Frequency modulating

I've always had a hard time modulating my pith. I know I should try, but I just don't have the self-control.

    Are you taking the pith?

    How pithy.

No recent updates. It still works fine though. A top FM synth close to the TX81Z sound.

Arigato, @pichi. I bought it a while ago.

No recent updates for Samplr either, still people won't shut up about it. :D

I thought I might have missed something. I looked up Primal Audio after my post and it looks like they've hitched their wagon to Propellerheads.

  • Anyone bought it? How does it sound?

  • This is actually an improvement/upgrade of his original app, ProdigySynth. It has the same sound and basic functionality. This one is landscape though. I seem to recall Doug doing a run through some time ago. This is a very nice FM synth I reckon and very easy to visualise what is going on with the operators.

  • Hmmm, might have been mistaken about recalling a TSTR vid, can't find it on YT. There is this by tthe dev though.
