I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Sunvox yet. Oh wait…
Thanks for the heads up.
That's a lot of new! I updated it last night. I didn't get a chance to check it out yet. Wait................I haven't really had a chance to figure out WTH I am doing with this app lol. It is quite the mind fook everytime I try.
I would love to really understand this app.
I would do a set of video tutorials but I'm not all that practiced in speaking and demonstrating and I think the viewers would quickly getting aggravated by my delivery.
Or Hitler. .. Damn!
can anybody explain how to set these two new modules up? what do they connect to?
new module Pitch2Ctl: converts the incoming notes to the controller values (in some another connected module);
new module Velocity2Ctl: converts the velocity parameter of the incoming notes to the controller values (in some another connected module);
You tease. Many of us are far more aggravated by the opacity of this bunker of boffinery and would welcome your gruff instructions...
SunVox is one of the few applications that is well represented on YouTube with tutorials, thanks to its history and plethora of platforms. You may have to sit through somebody playing plinky garbage on a Raspberry Pi, but the core concepts are the same. I have a recurring and masochistic fascination cycle with the beast, where I watch a bunch of vids to learn some trick that doesn't end up in a song, then take a break from the app and forget how to do everything again.
What kind of app is Sunvox? Is it a multi-synth workstation like Gadget?
Have only briefly played with Pitch2Ctl.
The simple steps I came up with were:
I assume Velocity2Ctl works similarly.
Funnily enough I have been looking to do similar for work (Not with Sunny V though) so this could be seen as good practice.
Expect you to wear a suit then.
Like that, only with the hood up and all the guts exposed, and modular...
Yum.
Nice idea but most of the people round here dress like you would on returning from a camping holiday. Not me of course, we are The Sapeurs of the office.
Chianti optional, but if it's a nice one, why not
It must be said: as far as Updates go this is a Big Kahuna Win.
SO much pure fire.
