Hows arp odyssei for (dirty)bass sounds?
The arp section on arp odyssei looks really nice, and i require controlling the apps tones via midi controller. And since the sound of odyssei in general is praised so much, i thought it could be a good candidate.
So how does it perform when it comes to dirty bass tones? Or should i just stick with arping from ableton and using sunrizer and cyclop?

The sound quality is far and away best in the Odyssey out of the 3. The drive gain on the front panel and even the included distortion effect are good for pushing it.
I found Cyclop to be pretty weak and tinny considering it's advertised as a mono bass synth. Good for chaotic noise, but not much else. A simple saw or megasaw for melodic arp purposes is hugely disappointing in Cyclop. As for Sunrizer, it never had enough character to win me over.
The Model 15 and Odyssei are as good as it gets for bass in my opinion, with the latter's arp sequencer being far more fleshed out with mod options.
The Odyssei can flat out wail, to answer you in a sentence.
Funny that you say that about cyclop. I have managed to get some of the fattest and meanest bass sounds out of it that i have ever heard anywhere
It's probably just a matter of taste. I got the Cyclop to give a digital (non analog emulation that is) synth a work through, but it turns out I'm just a sucker for the classic analog sounds, whether software recreation or hardware (I'm primarily a fan of pop music and the krautrock music).
Odyssei is really good for gritty bass. I just posted vid in new thread that has 3 layers of Odyssei sequences
