AC SABRE : Amazing

http://air-craft.co

I had to post this.

I used my Livid wireless MIDI controller to control AKAI and AC SABRE to control LaPlace..............what a great time.

LaPlace allows SABRE to make the most out of the synth itself, since it has a very physically modeled sound.

I also enjouyed using some saved ARPs with the app and it was crazy cooo.

If you are into trap, dub, house, world, or ethnic type electronic music, this app is for you.

My wireless controller I use for AKAI is the LIVID MIMIC. Another amazing product. Thinking about getting a second.

  • Yes, this App is really cool.

  • How is it compared to Tc Data , Arpegionome pro ? CAN we make chords? iPhone only ?

It has to be IPhone really.

Imagine this, you point your phone at the wall in from of you, that is C3.

Slightly to the right D3 more to the right E4 and vice versa.

Movement is required in pointing the IOS device.

I know there are endless scales and play back options, not sure if programmable.

TC 11 is all I have.

Arp is a bit different. I still like ARP for IPAD.

This is def a Performance type app. Personally, that is how I even practice, moving around and such so it helps perpetuate the energy of me working on my music.

    That is my main praise.

    Wireless and able to move.

  • I had to bump this thread because I am interested in hearing other people's experiences with the app. Maybe some tips and techniques.

I haven't used in with Ableton yet, soon on that one.

I am interested in seeing about preset / app combos people have enjoyed.

  • AC Sabre is great imo. The key is to decide beforehand just how movement you want to be required across the note range and then calibrate it, which is very easily done. You can save different setups as presets too. I have one for sitting on the couch and i just wave my right hand around a little bit and play melodies. It has buttons for chord stuff too.

My only complaint is that it is supposed to allow note pitch to be mapped to vertical movement/tilt but this seems to be broken currently. So only x axis for now. Still cool though. Really want this fixed though so I can just move like a lazy conductor with minimal movment.

I probably look insane if someone were to look in the window.

I am 6'4 and 250lbs....envision me jumping around jamming with Sabre in one hand playing synths and LIVID Minim in the other hand playing bass and pads with the Launchpad Pro flashing in front of me!

    Love the app.

  • Need video of @RustiK dancing around the room!

  • You don't have t jump around. I look like I'm slowing casting a spell when I see play it.

I am more of a Kaoss Wizard moonlighting at Deeter's Dance club!

  • @RustiK how is that Livid Minim in terms of latency while playing drum beats on the pads over Bluetooth MIDI?

  • I'm 6'4" and 205 but move like a busted angel burdened by unimaginable sin. There will be no video.

  • Could make for some compelling viewing. Just saying.

  • We’re still waitiiiiing!

  • @RustiK
Thanks for your advice about your fav. icegear synth in the other thread. I bought LaPlace and this synth got a lot of bite. Like it a lot.

  • Nope. This is where I draw the line.
I'm sure it's an awesome app, and the sounds are good, but it's the contemporary equivalent of a keytar. It's an attempt to be cool, but — oh, dear....
It's the musical equivalent of a vape pen. ;)

That seems quite aggressive when it was meant to be just a joke. Didn't know that image was going to be so huge!
Carry on, play your wizard LFO machines....

You just have to keep out of range at the beginning; he'll tire quickly... :)

There are no LFOs, the app does not have its own sounds. It's just a midi controller.

  • They say he buys 3 new devices a month only because he softly tries touching the display.

    You never heard that before.

    ;)

I have even the score for your aggressive oversized photo. LOL

  • I use this app for Geo mostly as well.

It works great and it fun.

As far as the key tar thing.

I use it when my hands are full on keyboard or launchpad and need to trigger notes or chords.

Much like I do with my Livid wireless midi controller.

    No Latency.

    NADA

Use it for Geosynth and iMPC mostly.

Setting it up with iSpark as we speak.

The app is actually cool as shit from the company.

I run it on iPad number 2 with some effect for jams and sessions just fucking off

  • Ok found it via these, strange when I searched AC Sabre in the store nothing came up.
