My new keyboard ( and apps controller)

A friend of mine( a brother should'i say) gave me this keybord yesterday.sounds really great! And works great as a contrller. :)

  • Nothing wrong with that. I did a lot of music on an XP-10 back in the day, and this has tons more on board. Always preferred Roland's stock sounds to others such as Korg.

  • I spent far too many hours staring at the 2 line display of my xp50 back in the day. My first workstation, I think.

    I had a 2080 many moons ago, with a couple of expansion boards, the larger screen really helped with programming patches. A great all rounder, but unlike you I preferred the quality of sounds that came out of the KORG Trinity and Emu Proteus at the time, so sold it and replaced with the Emu which I still have somewhere. The only downside, was the small screen, but I may dig it out and try making an iPad editor for it in tb midi stuff or similar.
    Having said all that, I wouldn't say no to a brother like that.
