Any one using Line 6 Amplifi 30, 75 or 150 to record via USB on iPad?
As the title says, really!
I am thinking of getting a line 6 Amplifi 30 or 75 guitar amp (not sure which yet!) as it can stream music via Bluetooth and also has what seems to be a pretty good app for tone and tone matching as well as being a good practice and small gig amp.
It also has a USB out to emails it to be used as an audio interface to allow direct recording to DAWs but was wondering if anyone has tried it with the CCK to record into Cubasis or any iOS DAW?
Comments
I have the Amplifi 75 and love it. I don't perform outside the home but love it for a practice amp. I am pretty sure I figured out at one point how to use the USB out into the iPad. I recall it was just like any other audio interface.
I'll try to remember to try tonight when home in front of the unit.
I highly recommend the pedal board as well.
Thanks @TrustButVerify ! Which pedalboard? The Shortboard or Express?
I tried the USB to CCK into iPad Air. It worked fine into Loopy and made me wish I did this more often. The Line6 doesn't have a looper but I can use any manner of apps on the iPad.
GroupTheLoop seemed to have a problem with the audio rate and would not work.
I have the Shortboard. I paid $199 online but it looks like it is $149 on Amazon in the U.S. Without the pedal board, you have access to four sounds without using the iPhone, which is OK, but I like having access to the volume pedal / wah, swithing between banks, between presets, taking the effects in and out, etc. Definitely worth it to me.
Cheers, thanks very much for that, @TrustButVerify
How's the latency with that setup?
I am surely not the most critical person on this front, but it doesn't bother me. I don't play super clean fast attack sounds, which might highlight any issues,
But I am not sure why it would be different than using another amp sim and AB-ing into Loopy.
