  • More apps to go the AU route
More cleaning up of apps with IAA bugs
A continued understanding by devs that import export solutions should avoid iTunes

  • Something that I can export Blocs Wave stems to that is just as fun and efficient at mixing, arranging and adding fx as Blocs is at recording and slicing.

This too. A really simple but interesting Blocs arranger with AU fx etc. Just being able to send any and multiple Blocs projects to it and further making the fun happen. It still needs Blocs simplicity though. Nothing that destroys the easy life and feel of Blocs.

  • Graphic pitch correction (even a dumbed down Melodyne or Flex Pitch would be huge).

    Isn't that Launchpad IOS...... updated?
I guess Novation is more an hardware company or else, we'd be iJamming or... IJellying...

  • Nanostudio 2
    Loopy 3
    AB 3
Widespread adoption of iOS 8+ document picker
All that stuff re: bussing in cubasis. Times as many times as you said.
Novation Circuit web app working on iOS
Novation X-Station v2 - the ultimate ios synth interface

A better multitasking experience on iPads
    Search
    Drag and drop
    A better host
Fancy stuff with the light block thing

    Isn't that Launchpad IOS...... updated?

I mean non performance oriented with a timeline or clip sequencer.

  • AU Drum sampler with integrated pattern sequencer
    SynthMaster AU

  • An iPod touch with a bigger screen. An update to Gadget that includes: the knobs fixed when used in linear mode, the ability to launch clips independent of scene, and the Audioshare SDK for better sample management. An update to AUM that added a kick ass MIDI keyboard suited for the touchscreen on iOS.

    Also...

  • I would like to see an updated IKaossilator with....anything, but at least some damn sound packs.

More apps with unique interfaces that take advantage of touchscreen.

    1. A clean, professional, touch focussed DAW
Current offerings are getting close but they just feel too cluttered for me to use seriously.

    2. More dedicated controllers
Touch screens and pencils have their advantages but they are not meant for playing music. Nanokey Studio and Roli Blocks are a good start but an iMaschine Mikro or iPush would be ace.

    3. Consolidation of standards
IAA, Audiobus, WIST, Audio Units, Link etc.. It's just too much to think about.
I really hope we can just settle on Audio Units for apps and Link and Ableton export for DAWs.

    4. One library to rule them all
    File system, grumble, grumble....
Can I please just put all my samples in one place and have them available to all my apps.

  • WIST is dead, korg is using link now too :)

    Yes, this!

I wonder if it can be done without Apple. We now know that apps can use a shared folder (think Blocs Wave & Launchpad, or AUM & Audioshare). I'm not an iOS dev and I don't know how it works but maybe it's possible to create something like an Audiobus SDK but for providing access to a shared file storage

Yah would be nice if apple bent/rewrote the rules and let other qualified devs just load directly from audioshare without importing. It would probably only take apple a department of several hundred tech people and lawyers etc. ;)

  • Being able to make au's go full screen, then back to the letterbox format via a button or swipe and an ipad with force touch.

  • AUM 2 : a fully featured DAW designed for iPad that will completely replace Auria/Cubasis

  • State saving in AUM
    Bus management in Cubasis
low latency bluetooth controller for Launchpad
    More AU effects
    Loopy with more loop slots
Link implemeted in all new apps with internal sequencers
    Better midi implementation all around

  • So, @jakoB_haQ, would you like to see bussing?

Roland to release the classic D-50 on iOS
Korg Wavestation on iOS (This could be reality as Korg have demoed the iWavestation at Synthfest in the U.K.)
    Korg Trinity on iOS
    Korg Kronos on iOS
Korg Gadget updated with audio tracks and a Sampler gadget that can support multi sampling.
Apple improves AU-X and all synth apps on iOS get AU support.
Apple release iPads that compete with Microsoft's Surface Pro. Apple releases a special version of iOS that has proper desktop file management and the new iPads are just as powerful as the Surface Pro.
    The Elka Synthex gets iOS.
Apple release Logic Pro on iOS.
Propellerheads release Reason 9 on iOS.

  • Firstly more apps taking on the AU format with proper preset state saving. My number one wish. Its been a pretty poor show so far with only Ruismaker and Blamsoft jumping in big. Ive got loads of old time ios synths that are not to CPU hungry that could be made AU. Please devs follow JimAudio lead with the excellent Poison now AU. Its bound to increase your sales margins.

As my keyboard skills are not great. I would like to see some Reason 9 style players ie chords and scales, duel ARP and Note echo added to the current DAWS or as standalone as found these really inspiring in Reason. I know we have similar apps already out there but no work quite as well as these with the drag over etc. Maybe the new Propellerheads app may cover the bases.

More apps using split screen especially sequencers. Lots of us still use virtual midi between synths and controlling sequencers.

More big players getting onboard with proper apps ie Ableton, Bitwig (hope it gets link soon) Roland. They all dipped their toes in so far, how about more commitment.

I heard it more like buzzing :D

  • I'd love to have a simple soundfont player AU and find it surprising that nobody has developed it yet

  • iCloudDrive/DocumentPicker for import&export to/from an app should be mandatory!

iTunes reinstates the ability to back up apps contents, or an app that can do this.

    AudioBus 3 with AU

Blocs Wave Pro (see earlier thread) expanding upon what we already have.

Cubasis tidy up, inc Dropbox support that can import folders and a way to turn off L&R snapping.

EDIT - and, in Cubasis, better options for fade out/in. The current one way fits all is inadequate.

I'm not sure Ableton will allow Bitwig to use Link in their DAW. Though I hope they are not that evil :)

It's nice to see that desktop applications also started to integrate Link. I wonder why there's no mention on their website that Traktor Pro now supports Link too

  • Cubasis for iPhone
Various drum machine apps to have link

  • I am quite happy with what I am able to do on iOS,

What I want from next year is more stability, AU preset standardisation and something that will allow me to backup all of my apps, audio and MIDI files and projects.
