Yes, I found those last week and the bass ones are very cool. Great resource!
I'm actually trying them.a lot of them sound awful. I will surely not keep a lot of them.
Anyway,worth a try.
I don't know why you said "it's not about synths," Flo. I'm not one, but there are plenty of guitarists here, and there has been a healthy discussion recently in the Tonestack 3 thread.
There are way more synth than guitar apps on iOS, so you have to take that in to account.
A joke man! Just a joke!
OK, I don't want to see the guitarists lose heart.
We don't, cuz now, with the ios Music stuff, we gotta guitar in one hand, and a Synth, or in my case 70+ synths in my other hand!
Cabinet IR's are great for synths if you are trying to emulate some acoustic instruments and want a resonant body of sorts to start with.
Yep. Or sometimes just to get a sound to pop out or sit in without EQ.
Very good info - thanks for sharing, Flo
There's also an ios EWI player (so assuming some woodwind ability)and an ios bagpiper, and probably everything else!
Ah, you guitarists are never satisfied!
Maybe but really, a lot of them sound really bad!
I'm keeping flo26's warning in mind but still want to try a few of these. Now, stupid question time:
Are these like reverb IR's where lets say I am playing BIAS, and then insert a Convolution Reverb plugin app and load one of these files I'd get the BIAS tone with the IR cabinet 'simulation'?
Or is there some other way to use these? Thanks in advance for the help I appreciate it...
Be cool...
