  • This app is a must have if you're a mobile musician. It has helped me to leave my controller at home and use iPad only. I highly recommend it!

Interface looks like an Accordion :)

Put the link also in the Black Friday Sales! thread. As probably more posts will come this week people can also relate to the sales thread. So double exposure for @Navichord

You can roll your own pads too, find it handy to experiment and map out chord progressions.

No idea, I don't use the app. Ask @Navichord, the developer ;)

    Thanks!

  • Still a go to favorite when I'm trying to make something pretty....

  • This app is awesome for playing onscreen chords to Z3TA, Gadget synths, it is so easy to use. I have the pads programmed for my favorite Chords and the onboard keyboard to play another instrument or melody. Hey it's got even a super nice Choir patch built in! Did I mention it has built in sounds?

    Instabuy!

I also really like that Choir patch!

  • Thought i'd give this a go based on the comments above, anyway i'm glad I did, it's a really excellent creative tool, great fun with gadget !

I'll be using this a lot.

Thanks! I'm also using it mainly with Gadget, its a lot of fun. You could try sending chord notes to separate channels in Gadget, and then apply different arps and delays. This makes very interesting variations.

  • great app, would love to see an big x/y pad feature like ikaosillators interface implemented so we could just swipe around the pad surface triggering notes/scales/chords.

Would love to see this in action! And +1 for the x/y pad!

  • If I get time i'll try to do a quick video, I had a bit of a play last night and routed the chord boxes to trigger 3 synths, one with on on beat delayed stab, one with on off beat 'pump' sound and the 3rd triggering an arpeggio, a lot of fun to be had!

    Absolutely!

  • What exactly do you guys mean by XY pad? There is a small XY pad on every button.

  • edited November 2016

Here is my attempt to drive several synths at once, only drums are recorded, the rest is arpeggiated in real time

There is an app that does it - Thumbjam. X - notes, Y - assignable CC

  • thumbjam and ikaossilator feel very different to each other, have you ever used the ikaosillator app?

    Here you go -

Excuse the dodgy timing, had to deal with a lot of latency to record this on quicktime in osx.. You can see after gadget records and quantises later in the vid it's a bit better :)

Anyway hope you get the general idea what I was talking about.

I'll experiment more with sending specific notes to synths at some point, anyway great app glad I noticed this thread !

    No probs!

  • Done. Finally. Great app and a pleasure to play with it.

@stumax thanks for the video! If you manage to make a track with Navichord, I can feature it on my Facebook page if you like :)

By the way, does anyone have a track made using Navichord for some parts? Same offer applies :)

They are different in workflow, but the xy pad is the same - notes on X, effect on Y. Perhaps you refer to iKaossilator recording/looping features?

Congrats! Every Navichord copy comes with unlimited friendly support on Audiobus forum!

  • you know I hadn't thought of that but that's a great idea if you can implement the recording/looping feature!?

  • Snagged this, this is what I was hoping gestrument would be

  • How can I delete chords from the 4 x 4 grid? Can I make it a 4 x 2 grid?

You can edit pads in Settings/Pads.
The number of pads is fixed, but you can always fill them partially.
