Would like to see this released again, I missed it the first time round
Welcome, & thanks for heads up. I'm glad to see the app hasn't done a nose dive.
Yer missed it first time aswell. was abit to much for me at the time. So yer looking forward to it being updated
Thanks. Yer I was suprized to see it thought it was abandoned.
It's not exactly a great excuse when you consider that the app was abandoned over 2 years ago.
His Facebook post is an explanation, working on the app has been a relatively low priority for the developer. His previous history of support for his apps is consistent with this low level priority.
I'll see how the beta testing process goes before deciding to support the developer's efforts. Hopefully he will have a better plan for how to create a sustainable app rather than failing to follow through as he has in the past.
I won't spend a penny on this guys apps ever again. I don't care if the app writes the songs for me and gives me a $10 million contract. This guy's support is the worst I've ever seen! You will NEVER receive any support for the app any app you purchase from him, and once you've purchased, the transaction is done. Now that you've been warned, if you go ahead and purchase, you have no right to complain whatsoever once you've been screwed--and you WILL be screwed if you purchase. Oh, and BTW, this developer makes Retronyms into saints.
Even with the knowledge that the dev does not excel in support, if the product is good enough, I will spend with them again - it was an ambitious and largely successful project, lt down by certain elements, which, in my mind do not negate the validity of the whole endeavour. I'm also very aware and conscious of the effect that an impending and new family had on all my activities, so I'm going to be happy that we have some contact and some indication of the app status rather then focus on the bad
Not saying this in opposition to your comments, just putting forward my alternate view
Never understood why he abandoned the last incarnation. Besides the bugs, clicks, volumes spikes and bad file management, I though it had some great ideas.
I have only experience with the ordinary version of Electrfy. While an intersting concept it was quite unstable. Look fwd to see the Nxt version and of course hope it will be stable
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. seriously, F this dev. He knowingly misled all of us back then and stole our money. Unfortunately I tried asking for refund from Apple too late so lost money on worthless app.
Anyways, Blocs Wave does most of the cool things this unethical dev was trying to do with app in first place
Did this guy murder everyone's children here? What's with the hate?
Word!
We are very lucky to see a lot of diligent and dedicated devs who constantly update and improve their software. It is however, not something I expect (but is, of course, something I encourage, support and enjoy). Not sure what the hate is for!
No, he abandoned his baby, leaving it to run feral, in the darkest places of the AppStore
Dude didn't steal my money knowingly (?) or otherwise: I still make music with this app. It's capabilities have only just lately been matched by other iOS soft...
When all kinds of favourable sentiments are unquestioningly welcomed, but each and every unfavourable view gets queries and demands for justification,, I get really confused.
Why is everything other than tra la happy butterfly kittens questioned? I'd genuinely like to know. Thank you.
@decibelle
(I have a well documented tendency to gush over apps, and had my tra-la gushiness soundly thumped more than once)
If you dig a little you're sure to find that the tra-la stuff is usually up for interrogation as well
On the other hand it's a forum hosted by a dev, and there is a sort of forum ethos that trends against dev bashing.
In this case I guess I reacted to hearing that a dev stole someone's money, knowingly, by selling an app and not updating it. I use a lot of apps that fit that description, including ones for which the dev promised an update that was never delivered. My personal take on this dev and app is that dude's a genius, coding-wise but not so much biz-wiz or worldly-wise. Cool with me, I've gotten far more than my money's worth out of both Electrifys, but that may just be me.
