How much is it?
I always said I wouldn't bother - but, you know, decided to give it a go on one of my releases. Would be nice to think I could break even, but somehow I doubt it :-) Total cost of $44.50 (or about £35). - includes $20 for the UPC code, and $24.50 for the standard CDBaby package. I'm looking at it as a way of saying "Jan was here" on iTunes (and similar)....

Damn, wish I had more heads up on this. I always release all my songs and live sets from the current year as an album on CDBaby. Great way to make sure my work ends up on all the available outlets for eternity (ha!). Missed it by 45 minutes....
@Tarekith: Missed it how? Its to the 28th November. I don't know what date it is where you are, but its only the 26th here in the UK (well for another 18 minutes then its the 27th :-) )
Is CDbaby the best way to aggregate music for the primary streaming services? I seem to recall a previous thread on this topic that listed an even better-deal-at-the-time-at-least for doing this.
Note: a Google search later brought me to this and I'm not sure if / how the 3 years-since has shifted any of these pros-and-cons. EDIT: I just noticed this note attached to linked article: "I updated this full report on 9-2-16"

I'm sure there's cheaper options than CD Baby out there, but I find their sales tracking and reporting to be excellent, and they've been around long enough I don't worry about them disappearing. Oh, and no fees to remove your albums should you want, unlike reverbnation and some other places charge.
Turns out CDBaby doesn't like tracks named "part 1", "part 2", etc. Pity - because that is exactly what they are called. If it was good enough for Jean-Michel Jarre it was good enough for me!
I've now got to think of names for the tracks :-( if that was easy i would have done that when I first made the tracks.... Wish i hadn't bothered now.
Yep, coming up with track titles can be rather taxing, but it's all part of the whole process, in my view.
Synonyms are very useful !
Done it now (with liberal help from googling "Synonyms"). Most of my tracks do have names just this release via CDBaby (which is actually something I did in 2014) always was Part 1, 2, etc. I had to retrofit the names to existing tracks..... Hopefully is wont be rejected a third time :-)
If anyone is interested the black friday deal at CDBaby has been extended to "12/2" (which I assume is 12th of December - British vs American date format still confuses me.....). 50% off the album submission (but you still need the bar code).

Best of luck with it. I released my record with CD Baby, and the process has been super easy. They've got some cool analytics and tracking stuff built in to the cost. For me, it's been worth it. I've even made a bit of a profit!
