I've tried tapping fast, slow etc...at best I get the actual value to reset and when I then tap the third tap in the same speed...nothing.

I've never had problems with that.
Either I do it as fast as I can(ie. trigger finger) or 3 1/16th notes at around 100BPM or so.

Right, I shall dig out a metronome for this. :)
As for visual clues on when it is done right, will it show me something? Like a message saying "waiting for CC input" or "midi learn" or something, somewhere?

Are you trying to do it on AU or standalone? I dont think you can midimap AU like that

Yes and it will also show a 'light blue' flashing outlining for the parameter :)

Perfect, thanks Samu. When I knew what to look for it was easier to keep adjusting until I got it right. A bit fiddly with triple-taps I think, but a lot better than nothing for sure.

And yeah @ToMess I actually tried it in stand-alone, but due to your comment I had to test it as an AU in AUM too, which also worked well.

    Goodie...

    It's always a compromise on a touch-screen, long-taps, double-taps, triple-taps.
One way to solve this would be to add button to enter bring up a dedicated 'assignment mode'.

Jim is also very responsive so throw him an e-mail with suggestions on how to improve it :)
(I think he's quite so busy coding the desktop version (AU/VST) of Poison-202).

  • wow love this app.. been programming my own sounds and this thing is just EVIL

  • Hello, does anybody know how to DELETE a Midi Automation in Poison 202?? I programmed my expression pedal for cutoff and now it´s getting on my nerves... can´t get rid of it, though - also, is there a way to limit the automation to a certain range??

    Hi!
Try to go to settings -> reset CC mappings.
Also you can not set range inside poison. AUM is good at it

New update released, adds upcoming Gr2 support, makes iOS 12 a requirment (I think) and some other s**t.

  • Nice, the synth is simple and sound amazing - just wish it had more mod destinations

  • apologies for being a bit dumb.. what does virtual midi in do?

It allows an app to receive MIDI data from other apps on the same device. For example, use a sequencer app to play sounds in Poison without bothering using a host app.

I was like "new banks and presets! sweet!" lol

  • Yeah it took me a minute to realize this thread was from 2016.

  • Zombie threads. What are they good for?

  • It was updated, letting folks know on the apps thread is also. What is the preferred protocol?

Maybe a new thread is better, when the original is so old. The last prior post was Nov. 2019, over 5 years ago.

Yeah, it can get confusing when the old thread title doesn’t match the more recent developments.

I once read most of a newspaper thinking “things never change” when I noticed it was a year old!
