successful artists using iOS music apps?
iPad music apps kick ass. We all know that. They don't seem yet to receive too much love from established artists who like to stick with their expensive hardware and daws. Or am I wrong? Which established artists big up iPad and iPhone synths drum machines and sequencers?

It's another kind of revolution like madeon and launchpad vid...
I no longer concern myself with established vs non established . I just want to hear good interesting music and the more non established the better.
I know the Gorrilaz did the album a while back. I also know that Flaming Lips used some iphone synths recording some of their latest albums. I imagined more electronic artists would be jumping aboard as for many of us IOS apps bring a new paradigm in both cost and GUI to music production. m Some of the stuff I come up with on IOS I would have never composed on a mainstream DAW
Jordan Rudess, Adrian Belew
I have heard established artists say they use mobile apps (particularly while on tour, traveling etc) but in the end most of them seem to say things like 'whatever works' or 'it's ultimately not about the tools' etc. I think for them mobile just adds an ingredient among many other components. If I were making a living at this I would likely get my fill at the computer all day and not feel as compelled to walk around on my commute with headphones and an ipad cramming in as much as I try to now.
cEvin Key mentioned them a few times, I recall Gadget and DM1 came up before.
And of course Mouse on Mars is involved in developing them...
If using counts not recording with it, but just using. Then......
Marty Friedman, Ola Englund, keith merrow, Jeff Loomis...To name a few that use Bias FX/Amps.
Just found this in Wikipedia![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
In a recent Jean-Michel Jarre music video, there's a quick shot of AniMoog; and Robert Fripp uses the M3000 Mellotron app. I've seen other vids where artists had iPads onstage and using what I guessed was Lemur, but I don't recall who and where details.
Jean Michel Jarre uses ivcs3

Sunrizer is in everybody's hands too,
You know those hip r n b ppl I don't want to listen to and I can't remember the names of.
Falk Grieffenhagen uses an iPad on stage, but not necessarily for music.
he only does visuals afaik
That's what he's famous for.
There was a session at loop with him this year, but I wasn't there.
Does play saxophone too, though.

Hello,
the guitarist of sting, Dominic Miller, used two presets from Nanostudio in one of his solo album.
I posted a message about this on the Nanostudio forum some time ago :

Peter Gabriel also use an ipad with an alesis io dock on tour but I don't know with wich app(s).
I spoke with Kimbra in Berlin and she still uses SoundPrism. Here's an old clip of her with it (can't really see it well but you can hear it):
Thanks all. I'm surprised some up and coming young grime or house production kids aren't running with the ipad ios world. Having said that i guess it's cheaper to get a laptop and a fruityloops crack!
Gorillaz used funkbox on one of their albums.
Knox Chandler. Expatriate American guitarist living and working in Berlin.

I think iOS as a music platform tends to have an older demographic.

Autechre have used and praised Sunvox.
I saw Laurel Halo play Nave in a live show once.
Wow big fan of Autechre and not heard that before. Everyone praises Sunvox but my tiny brain can't get to grips with tracker hexadecimal
