Sampling FM Radio

Even though I know I can't afford it, I've been looking at the OP-1 lately. One of its more interesting features is that it can record samples from the FM radio receiver. What would the best way for me to do this on iOS be? I know it won't be simple.

  • Connect the Tape Output of a stereo receiver or the headphone output of a portable radio to your iPad's audio interface and record what you want.

  • Why not just hold the mic from the idevice near the speaker of an fm radio?
You are looking for creative uses anyway and not a clean signal, I guess.

I like this approach because I like the lofi speaker vibrations included in such samples. I often use them for pad formations. Generally the range is 30 hrzt
