Surprised it's iPhone only. If you dig iceGear synths, there's a lot to like here:

Nice! I just got it on my iPad and it works fine just looks a little weird.
Seems nice, and very cheap. But it went out at the same time as IWavestation...
Weird. Just for the (Red) promotion, I guess? Bought it. Dig it. Now... can we finally get Argon and Xenon updated a bit (IAA, midi learn), or at least on the Link train? Funny how their oldest ones are my favorites. This one reminds me of them.
Bad timing
Interesting. Perhaps they were hoping to get featured by Apple , although I didnt't see it mentioned in the list of (Red) apps.
More likely the red design is inspired by the Nord Lead design ;-)
Looks and sounds great! My future request is AU extension...:)
I like the iceWorks stuff. Would be surprised if this didn't later go universal, though it's worth noting that Cassini and some of their other stuff has separate iPhone and iPad versions.
Not sure how to feel about this, iPhone only. I mean it'll run on an iPad, so better than iPad only. Given Argon, I suppose this isn't unprecedented for iceGear. Was just hoping the trend moving forward was universal. Also throws into doubt any chance of Mersenne becoming universal. I passed on Laplace and Lorentz sales for not being universal. I do like the sound of this one though![:/ :/](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
Have spent about 30 minutes fiddling with it on my lunch break today. I like that almost everything in it has its own ADSR or at least AD envelope. It has the 'resonator' module which I associate with physical modelling synths like Zed, but I'm not smart enough to know if that makes this a physical modelling synth or not. I like it. Keys can be shrunk down for more than 2 octaves on screen at once; velocity based on touch area of keys is also an option.
I like it. Very rewarding tweaking this. Well done IceGear. Would be a very nice AU.
If it has a delay then probably.
I don't know that I need another subtractive synth unless it's something special. Looks cool though.
Agree, my money is spend at BF sales. However I do like this app really a lot. But always get annoyed by this messages about introduction offers... "LAUNCH SALE: 40% OFF FOR A LIMITED TIME". In most cases a sign for me just not to buy something, don't like to be pushed. If the devs read this please say how long the launch sale is going to last, makes it a lot clearer and fair.
Oh, easiest decision I'll make all day. It's like a flattened, streamlined version of the wonderful-yet-often-slow-going Cassini + everything he's learned about resonators. Good god this man knows how to make a delay unit! I'd by that (or Cassini's similar Delay2) as a stand alone delay app in a heart beat.
@syrupcore I LOVE Cassini. Is this a successor or a simplified version? I watched the demos and was most intrigued by the arpeggiator.
Yes?![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
The filter does sound nice in the video.
The sounds in this one....They could make some mean Christmas music. Well, mean meaning pretty dang cool sounding.
I own all of Icegear's synths, except for Cassini iPhone. Even though I'm primarily using an iPad, I thought I'd pick this up. I really like it, and as I have bad eyesight, it works better for me than the other Icegear synths do because it's targeted at iPhone screens.
It's quite like a West Coast, resonator module.
One 'thing' I like with IceGear synths is that almost all parameters (- the arpeggiator) are on one page on most of the synths, Cassini being the exception.
I hope a universal version is in the works...
This was an easy purchase for me. I was wary of the iWavestation ending up like my iM1 (gathering cyber dust) largely due to not needing any more synths with presets sounding a tad dated (and yes, I know, effects can change a sound dramatically). For 15% of the the price of Korg's offering and a tiny fraction of the data space, I instantly warmed to the presets (limited number that there are) on this guy. They have a great character that seems all its own among the other synth apps out there. Already loving this app.
It's this that makes me want to look the other way on not being universal. Though I'm with @Samu on hoping the iPad gets a layout that takes advantage of the real estate (especially the Pro Plus). Could be an interesting experiment for them, generating sales from the iPhone market then seeing if the addition of iPad layout boosts sales.
That sure is a sweet little droner with a gritty flavoured nutritiousness.
All of the IceGear apps I've used have got a nice distinctive sound imho.
Yep, my sentiments exactly. Really enjoying this one, even on the iPad.
For those wondering if this will be released for iPad, I asked and this was the response:
Hello,
Thank you for your mail.
Unfortunately, I have no plan to develop a native iPad version of Redshrike.
Best regards,

How does it compare to Lorentz? (yes I'm wavering)
Thanks for the heads up, gonna buy the iPhone version then.
Here we go my demo![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

So, I know it's iPhone only, but when loaded on an iPad, the controls don't scale to fit? It looks like the controls on both right and left are cut off and you can't even get to them. Is this correct?
