App recommendations for worship/ambient pads?

Our church does not have a keyboard player so my wife has been filling in by using the iM1 app on an iPad Air 2 and Casio privia px-160 as the controller. She is basically providing fill with some pads and iM1 has worked fairly well for this. However is there any other apps that we should consider for warm ambient pad sounds? I saw that iwavestation just came out. How about it or korg module with the triton pack? Something else? The worship leader uses Mainstage when he plays keys but we wanted to stick with an iPad setup to keep things simple. We'd prefer something more preset driven.
One issue with the live setup is changing presets in iM1 will cause whatever you're playing to stop. Any recommendations on how to avoid this? I know a lot of keyboard players will use two keyboards and I assume this scenario would be one where having two keyboards would allow you to change a patch on one while continuing to play on the other. Any way to accomplish this with iM1? We were thinking connecting another midi keyboard and putting it on a different and then use iM1 in multi mode. But then you lose out on the preset combis it appears?

Thanks for the recommendations. I've seen Mitosynth mentioned before. Does it have a lot of nice presets in it or do you have to program it to get the nice layered pads that we'd be looking for?
The bs-16i app is very good for live playing. You can set it up so you have a page of 8 sounds with faders/sliders and mute/unmute making it simple to choose sounds and layer them if you want. Plus you can add a lot of free Soundfonts including some from my site that have pads, strings and organs.

I would recommend Beathawk 2 .. So much you can do with it in your situation and the sound packs are the best.. I think you can place patches on the pads and switch by midi channel.. and so much more..
I think you have the best app for this, for trails cut off, please use a reverb at end, so switching can be seamless,
I dont this happens to all sounds ,matter of finding the right sounds.
But my preference is isymphonic (lil' expensive and storage heavy), you can choose/purchase any sound bank
the demos are really good ....of all sounds
stack 5& 6 sounds and use midi to trigger each of those ( Imi can alss do this)
I have beathawk, I always seem to get a gitch here and there with midi controllers.

I tried downloading the first first file you have on site
BS16i ( on iphone8p gave error message ....saying file not recognised or memory may be low))
The first one is “the big one” and only suits big ram devices like latest iPad Pro. Go down the list and choose something a bit smaller for most devices. iPad Air 2 can cope with soundfonts topping out at about 600mb.

I’d try the Nice-Insruments-Extended set from the Various section toward the bottom. It will have a number of Strings, Pads and Organs that might do the trick.

@jacou As a worship keyboard player, at one time I was using my iPad as my main keyboard rig. AUM or Loopy Pro as the mixer. I prefer Loopy pro at the moment since it gives me similar mixer controls but also allows me to have a loop setup for prayer time when we want music playing in the background. I can make a quick ambient loop.
I have used Pure Synth by Gospel Muscians, iM1 has been used before. I have actually used some audiokit apps since Matthew has made it easy to change to 432hz.
I use Attack softener with my guitar, running into the same rig, with dubstation 2, EOS2 and the built in EQ with Loopy Pro. BS-16i is good with a good soundfont as well and even chameleon by 4 pockets for some sounds.
I have found that live, in the mix, with everything else going on, most of the apps we have available to use can give us a great sound.
Now that being said, my iPad Pro 12.9 2017 was showing its age and I started getting glitches so I had to make a choice, get a new iPad or a keyboard. I did choose to get an MPC key 61, I wanted more keys than the current 49 midi controller I was using. I am still using my iPad as a guitar processor and I have the key 61 plugged in as well so I can loop both my guitar and keys. its completely stable, no issues and we have 2-4 hour worship sets sometimes.

It’s good to read that there are other worship musicians using the iPad as their rig.
I’m actually mainly playing electric guitar through my Toneshifter Mega, iPad M1, AUM, GigFast, also Dubstation2 / EOS2 and Enso. I‘m super happy with that and don’t feel the need for any other hardware.
Now the keyboard in my (newish) church is rather rudimentary and can’t do much more than simple unspectacular piano sounds. So being super happy with my iPad guitar experience I was just wondering if we can up the keyboard level by using an iPad for it too.
So thank you for your suggestions. I might just recommend to the keys player then to use AUM, something like Pianoteq/Ravenscroft and some of the recommended synth plugins.
I can imagine that the keys player might struggle getting (really) good pad sounds if it’s not easy to dial in inside of a synth plugin.
Is it easy in GM Pure Synth? And are the pad sounds rather basic or are there also „breathy“ / „heavenly“ options with slight texture? I hope you know what I mean 😄

Throw enough FAC Alteza on anything and it turns into a great pad. You might be able to teach the keys player to use a send channel in AUM and just ride the send amount to bring the atmosphere in and out.
That's what I'd do. In fact, I'd consider doing it straight from my guitar if the keyboard player wouldn't object.

I actually do believe that the keyboard player will be able to control a simple AUM patch with 3-4 faders that she can blend to her liking. I might just help her to set it up.
Xinematix has some great sounds that would be great for worship but does take up a fair bit of space.
This is not really a loopy pro app or auv3 but for church, I use Sunday Sounds which has a lot of features for live performance. Stuff like preset sharing, in app transposition and a background pad player make life easy. Can also import auv3 so I use Pianoteq as my piano and combine it with the rest of the sounds in the app.
