And yes, I think it will make BM2 the first iOS DAW with Link support ;-)

I'm just wondering how BM2 with Link will handle Audio-Tracks when changing tempo?
Will we see realtime time-stretch using Elastique?

One of my gripes with BM2 is the lack of 'selection handles' when editing a sample as it's way too easy to loose the selection when scrolling around...

Anyways, new updates are always nice :)

  • Wow I'm digging BM2 again! Had to edit a midi and the way to stretch or shorten the notes or move them is so cool! Now that I'm learning more about midi it all makes more sense. The UI is not cryptic as it felt before. Especially on the small screen of the iPhone 5s.

Has anyone been able to sync it with any of Luis' Drum Machines?

That means bm2 is the First DAW with link Support ok iOS?!

That would be very cool but there's no actual Link support. Although BM2 sends very solid midi-clock, and it does run in the bg...you can do a kind of DIY Link with BM2 and Elastic Drums, which receives clock and can be started separately and keeps sync when hosted as IAA in BM2 - though Links bar accurate start would be up to you

I think Batlinux is referring to the fact that Intua have already confirmed that Link support will be part of the next update... It's not yet in the app but it's coming soon man ;-)

Got it, thanks for sorting that @ElGregoLoco. sorry @Bartlinux, I missed the Link mention upthread.

@ElGregoLoco, does your handle mean you are a Greg? (I too am a Greg. Also more than a little loco... Mi Tocayo!)

Yes, I'm a Greg... for Gregoire (french version of Gregory) ;-)
My muician (+ internet and videogames) nickname has always been El Grego... And as I'm not the only one using it, I had to add something to make it universally unique (lol), and I went for 'Loco' (as I am a big Cypress Hill fan since a teenager)... Now, you know everything man ;-)

The French version of Greg is the best...though Spanish is great too: Gregorio! I'm Gregory (but only my mom called me that when I was in trouble so just Greg) greetings from Echo Park, Los Angeles California...

BM2...my old friend...so awesome to be able to create your own instruments and map them to the keyboards and make amazing tracks... still a favorite place of mine to go when I'm writing. Here's an older piece all done with custom instruments made in BM2....what a collosal pain in the butt this was...lol.

guy from the Naked and the Famous is my neighbor to left, woman from Geraldine Fibbers to my right. With a school teacher in between...

  • Im a BM2 addict, can't wait for BM3

  • When composing or sketching up hints, Do you guys mostly use BM2's internal sounds?

  • So, the new BM2 (2.6.1) update with Link just dropped and as I suspected it does not do any real-time time-stretching of audio...

Geraldine Fibbers -- one of the greatest

Been ages since I listened to them - I'd say it's about time to fix that.
