iMaschine is Awesome*
Not really. I want it to be more than a sketch pad, and the interface is so wonderful, but it has so many limitations. (How is there no piano roll??)
However! The sound packs are awesome. I saw video by Sir Doug that detailed how to export a project from iMaschine into another app via iFunbox. Is it possible to move over the iMaschine libraries intact and open them in iMPC Pro or BeatMaker2 or Modstep or -- gasp -- Patterning??
Is iFunbox still required?
Midiot-friendly instructions appreciated.

I did strip all my User banks from imaschine at one point, using iFunbox. iTunes should work too...
How, exactly, do I strip the User banks using iTunes?
In iFunbox, I see iMaschine, but there is no data, no folders....
Sorry to be so dense.
I may be wrong, but I think iFunbox won't help with those packs that you have to buy/download and probably the default ones too - I believe you can't extract them without jailbreaking your device.
But you can extract samples that come with iMaschine by default using iTunes. Download iMaschine to your app library, locate the .ipa file (Show in Finder), rename it to .zip, extract everything and check what's inside
Hav u tried iMaschine 2?
I am using iMaschine2. Should have specified.
Seems a shame to keep these great sounds locked up.
I remember downloading all the iMaschine 2 expansions from somewhere on the internet, the whole Ultimate Collection I think. Felt no guilt because I already paid for it
You do know about step mode right? While there isn't a pianoroll you can edit your recordings with step mode or lay down your patterns from scratch with it. While you don't have that's ability with the keyboard instrument you can usually track down the sample in the library and add it to the pads, meaning you can make any keyboard instrument a pitched pad instrument with a bit of work. Ni have added two very significant updates to the app this year. It leads me to believe that they will continue to develop it because their users demand that they do. Worst case scenario they might try to sell us IMachine 3 someday...
ohh i would like to get my hands on that...
iam not sure if it is possible to get access to the samples now since we dont have access to the IOS filesystem in the same way we used to, except if you jailbreak..
but ever sincei got the the Pro with 128Gb ive been struggling to fill it up, so all great samples are welcome, even if i need to have them x2 sinc i will keep imashine also....
I'm having trouble getting iFunbox to expose any stuff inside sandboxes, including stuff exposed a day ago...iMazing to try next. I recall that I had stripped the files from the first Maschine, so if u own that one it is still downloadsble and purchases restorable
Thanks for your efforts, 'Woodg.
No worries.
No luck with either iMaschine or iMaschine 2 in iMazing.
Jailbreak is the answer. I used to export custom kits, but over time I grew tired of their samples being already treated
Ok, then. What exactly does jailbreaking entail? I have an old iPad2 that I could perform that on, grab the sound packs and then unjailbreak it.
I recently grabbed all the samples by installing it on an old iphone i had that was still on ios7 and copied them with ifunbox. Score! Great for patterning and egoist.
Pretty smooth move (I have an iPad 1...we shall see if I can game it this way)
How recently?
And the process?
Hmmm, I guess it was about six months ago (that qualifies as recent for me) and I seem to recall just installing it on my iPhone 4s running ios7 and plugging it into my computer then copying all the contents using ifunbox... Now it may have been an older version of ifunbox, from a couple years ago, or the latest at the time, not too sure!
It's working- install of iPhone app on an iPad (1) running iOS 6...using iMazing trial copy. Workaround upon workaround and painstaking as fk...(one folder at a time. Shit I bought a lot of 99¢ packs...)
Funny I still have the older version of FLM (2) on here, installed it for my daughter. One of those apps that will install earlier versions on older devices. Might be some packs to pull from that one too.,,
How about on old iPod?
So iam out of luck since all my units are ios 9 or 10
. Anyone willing to share them?(if it is possible)+ ive already bought them all in mashine 2...
Copy Trans
Funbox shitted out a couple months ago for me.
Love this program for this kind of stuff.
Guys is there a way to have itues download an older version of the app? My app is 6.06
Hiw were you able. Install it if its asking for ios 8 minimum?
