Wavestation patch collection advice

edited December 2016 in General App Discussion

I have been trying to compile all my favourite patches from Wavestation patch libraries that I have downloaded from the internet over the years onto one patch library without success.

On the Legacy Collection Wavestation I have selected Load RAM 1 and opened a patch library and saved my favourite sounds to RAM 2. I then open another patch library and Load to RAM 1 and again I save my favourites sounds from that library to RAM 2 to build my collection. Anyway, the problem is when I save my library with my favourite patches and then play them back, they play back with different waveforms and wave sequences that weren't there on the original patch. This is so frustrating :(

What could I be doing wrong? I am wanting to compile one patch library with all my favourite Wavestation patches from library cards so I can load them on to user card 1 on iWavestation gadget to play them on Korg Gadget when making a track.

Please advise.

  • Aha, have a quick look at Chris Carter's SOS review of the Wavestation, in which he explains: http://www.chriscarter.co.uk/content/sos/korg_ws_ad.html

    Hmm interesting.

I guess the only way to record tracks with my favourite patches from each library card is to record the iWavestation via IAA or Audiobus on Cubasis on audio tracks.

Just to think I was so excited when Korg released iWavestation as a gadget on a Korg Gadget only to learn that I am limited to just using the factory cards that came with iWavestation and just one User card slot with just one 3rd party or custom library loaded on it. Just a pity there is no way to load Wavestation data on the iWavestation gadget Milpitas.
