Is there anything like zgame editor for adding visuals to audio on iOS [Solved:Takete]?
I just want something to create, manipulate and add visuals to audio. I know there's a pricey app i can't remember the name of but wondered what else was around that export at decent resolution.
Even better if it's universal or runs on the iphone as more capacity. On another note is there a screen capture app that will recording whatever app i'm running in the foreground? Thanks!

Just google "Ipad VJ" there is a ton of them
Takete! Pricey, worth it
I know but i was looking for recommendations on some of the best, there are sometimes compatibility issues or bugs etc.
That's the one i was trying to remember, thanks.. I'll have to give it a spin. Probably pushing it but is there anything similar on the iphone?
Btw what i want to do is sync visuals to existing and export the AV for my YT channel. It's not about live performance etc, looking for something like imovie but with a built in graphics editor.
you can record everything in Takete, import your own visuals and Sound clips / songs and use the built in videoeffects to blend it. there is a free lite version try it out
Thanks. So it records all the visual interactions and audio that you can then edit and upload to YT?
It's not exactly what i had in mind as it's more performance orientated but it does look wicked for doing live performances. And the AB input has got me wondering if i could route audio from Live and trigger visuals and create the video that way.
It would be cool to do it Live on the fly, you have to do a ton of automation editing in FL which is time consuming and the quality after conversion is pretty poor so looking for alternative, was hoping it would be more iOS price friendly though!
Does it ever go on sale?
Live... Ableton?

There's a whole bunch of animation apps out there that might work as well.
Yeah bit i read about it only ouputting to xga and i wanted better quality than zgame which does 1920x1080 but the quality of the eventual video that ends up on YT is degraded, i thought i could optimise things with an app but then the ouput for higher res would be huge i think.
I downloaded and quit the app as soon as i saw the FB log in, couldn't understand it; no context and very little info about the the apps features, are you using it?
I know, it's not area i've investigated though. Only i app i knew of was Takete. Resolume was available on the iPad a few years ago as well apparently but i guess they're gonna be mainly performance related.
This is the output quality of the WXGA resolution, better than i imagined!
With it being on sale i'm tempted to get it just for the performance, it'll give me something to create content for social media. And it looks like a lot of fun. And it's crimbo, nearly.
Is this something you did in Takete?
Honestly, I'd do this on a PC or Mac. Magic Music Visuals is a great modular visualisation environment, and you can control parameters on any number of 2D and 3D shader modules using specific frequency bands or even pitch detection, blend and mix layers however you want and it supports multi track audio. So you can have all of the elements in your track driving parameters on their own shapes/GL shaders/video files/etc.
I stumbled on it the other night. It's like 49 bucks. And a whole bunch of fun!
Are you using Ableton or "Live" was for realtime audio?
If you are usin Ableton check maxforlive route with apps from isotonik studio.
Mmmm Resolume was available for iPad one day... on April.

It was a joke...but you have similar apps like COLORCODE VJ por ART Teknika Inc.
https://appsto.re/es/hUHgB.i
Or TouchViZ por Hexler Limited
https://appsto.re/es/RxE-C.i
Maybe those will help you?
Haha no, just thought it was worth posting as most videos are just showing the iPad screen.
I thought about it, the isotonik stuff mentioned above etc but i decided to get Takete for something a bit hands on, gonna do short videos for SM, i like the audio side of Takete as well and can repurpose loops in creative ways.
I'll check out MMV for video edits and maybe creating content for Takete but the app fills it's own niche, it's actually a lot closer to Live than i realized initially.
Haha, i got fooled. That's embarrassing.
Both look good for VJing, i could get into this! Takete is absolutely fine for my needs, i mainly wanted something to create preview clips of tracks for YT with decent visuals but Takete goes beyond that. I'm really happy with it anyway ,gonna be cool to route live audio into it as working with samples can be quite finicky but might be user error. Anyway, quality app.

@musikmachine I find myself in the same boat.
I only have vidibox and imovie and looking for some generative too
If you want to do some audio stuff as well it's well worth a look. I've only scratched the surface so far but it's quite deep and having link kee pthings in sync is great. I've just got the audio side figured out, now onto the video. There's a playlist that takes you through getting up and running.
It's excellent once you get into it, has an almost hypnotic effect. Best app i've bought in a long time.
It's geared towards dance and electronic stuff though.
speaking of video has Hyperspektiv been abandoned?
Dunno, was a recent update on the app store so looks like it's still being supported.
Anyway, now getting the hang of the macros which is where the power of the app lies IMO. I highly recommend the beeple VJ clips as well, their much better quality than the stock and the stuff he does is really nice for free: http://www.beeple-crap.com/vjclips.php
Thanks for the tip @Hansson, loving Takete so far.
I know, i do love takete too if you find any tricks please share, as mentioned before the app is quite deep
I'm working through the tuts but what i've been doing is setting the video clips to trigger the drums then set up fx to trigger other drum clips, i find it easier to develop things that way. I might start using one row for drums and another for synths etc but it's all about the macros.
Btw do you know how to record the AB input? I'm syncing gadget and Ielectribe but they seem to lose sync when i restart or switch patterns so want to record some sounds in.
Here's a quick video I recorded using the Bleep stuff.
do you guys like Luma fx or musemage more?
