Using speaker output turns the internal mic on

edited August 2013 in General App Discussion

I only want to use inputs and effects currently I am trying not to color my sound as much as possible but if I just use the speaker output when I connect headphones or plug it into a system the internal iPad mic remains on:/

  • Hi,
How do you go about, connecting to your system, does it have an input also going into the iPad?, or is it just a headphones/sound output system?
The reason I'm asking is, as long as there is no extra input connected, the iPad will always have the internal mic running. Try connecting some kind of input device, if only the headset with microphone.
If you already did that, the only thing I can still think of, is dust particles in the connector bins (on the iPad). Sometimes these can make/unmake a connection on their own.
Try plugging/unplugging, cautiously blowing out the little compartments with compressed air, and see if that helps.
    Good luck, cheers,

  • I am using a keyboard application into the effects and then just standard speakers output.
Neosoul keys> jam up> speaker output

  • Do you get the problem if you don't start up Jamup?
