If you don't know Sonokinetic you can check out their videos and see what they are about. Essentially they are orchestral phrase libraries. If you are familiar with Native Instrument Komplete products like Emotive Strings and Action Strikes, they are similar to that. But a lot better in my opinion.

Yes this is a quality library, anyone can use it, you can use it in Kontakt player I believe.

Desktop only, but you don't need the full Kontakt version, you can use it in the free player version.

I did it... With the amount of time I spend in Notion iOS and with sampled orchestral instrument builds in Music Studio, it's only a matter of time before I "get there".
If you want a copy, down to 722 from 1400 copies available, in only one hour, at that rate gives you about an hour.

In past years they have discounted their libraries like Minimal, Tutti, Vivace, Da Capo, Grosso, and Capriccio for between 35% and 50% off. This is the first time I know of where they have actually given one of them away. But most go for 200 or 300 euros and this one lists for 100.
I am hoping that they will do a sale on Minimal this year, because I really want it. They generally put their bell library, Toll, on sale--I guess it's Christmassy.
Last year they gave away two Brazilian percussion instruments, Berimbau and Cuica, and sold their Brazilian Percussion at a discount. So it will probably be something different this year. They have sampled a lot of very unusual world instruments and singers. It's a great company.
In addition to having great virtual instruments, I think they have the best videos in the business. They do great teasers, which lay out the vision of each product, as well as tutorials and walkthroughs.
Yes the video's are really in-depth, think it's time to take a look, it will also give the overloaded servers some time to 'cool down'. Though that may take a few days.
They gave away all the copies, and now it is 50% off. Still a good deal for 50 Euros.
In terms of the 40 GB, I think it may include both downloads. You get two versions. So you won't need to use so much hard drive. Closer to 16 GB than 40 GB.

The first one (with a serial number) needs a more recent version of Kontakt (I think 5.2 and above) and works with player and Komplete Kontrol keyboards.

@eross There are two downloads -- for your version of Kontakt and for the old version. They are both in your account and can be downloaded any time.
But each one gives you both 16 bit and 24 bit samples. You don't have the option to only download 24 bit. But if you don't want the 16 bit samples you can obviously delete them afterwards.
