Maybe something from Elektron for IOS
Would like to see what Waves could do at a $49 price point
Indignus's Solid State Symphony (1.7 GB)
or the Lite version - Q (160 MB)

These are orchestral sounds that are mainly synthesized, that's why the sizes for full orchestras are so small. Normal orchestral libraries are in the tens of GBs.
They are both Kontakt instruments.... but so is Sensual Sax.
Embertones Blakus Cello......gorgeous sound!
Last week I posted about a new sampler/slicer and look whats released a few days later : Reslicer.
That's what I call fast customer support.
Dust!

Would be great for a multi-touch device!
Doesn't Roli (with its strong presence on iOs) owns FXPansion......?
I think Geist 1 will be a great candidate.
Buchla Easel from Arturia.
Obscurium by Sugar Bytes.
VCV Rack please, I’d pump some serious $ into that.
Full AUv3 ports of all stock Logic Pro X Plug-Ins including the full version of Alchemy.
If not that then Logic Pro X for iPad will do.
Renoise or Redux will never make it to iOS neither will any of the TAL Plug-Ins but one can always hope...
Awesome to see a few of those old posts get realized now...
I would pay decent money for a full port of NI products - I want to plug my Maschine and my S5 into my iPad and get full functionality (Maschine is ridiculous its not there, iMaschine, come on... And Traktor? still can't get my S5 to do a damn thing in iOS). Most NI products seem well suited for iOS, but they probably don't want to charge so little money for them. But if you own the hardware, come on NI, wtf...
Max/Msp would be amazing, but looking on the c74 forums that is highly unlikely.
Mostly what I want right now is an Ableton type thing, but a bit stripped down to mostly looping that you can route to wherever and realtime record / quantize in cells or something. I feel like Ape or AUM or AB could make IAP's for a lot of cool stuff and get more money out of me. I wrote a ridiculously long laundry list of stuff, I'll find it and copy / paste for whoever is interested in reading that much stuff...
Excuse the REALLY long comment, but Devs, if you care, take a look... I wrote this a couple months ago:
Wish list - I guess my strongest affinity for electronic music right now is in generative apps. I’ve been stuck in repeating phrase land for so long now, I seem to be jumping on anything that breaks me out of rigid sequences. Patterning, Sector, Rozeta, and other generative apps have really given me a new attitude towards computer based music... So my biggest recommendation is to add generative features whenever developers see a chance. This can really happen all over, from the Daw to synths to sequencers to effects.
Imagine BeatMaker or AUM with a list of generative features, like random without repeat, probability functions, etc available for any tweakable parameter? Or on timing / velocity, a ‘humanize’ function that gives subtle variations to your sequence? Same thing with harmonics, an onboard effect that emulates the harmonic variance of an instrument played live...
So with that in mind to start off, a big ask would be to see a Max/MSP iOS port, as well as Derivatives Touch Designer... Probably have to wait a while for those... But node based programming environments are awesome! Been playing with Audulus and it’s pretty fun...
NI, however... they should be all up in this world, definitely a bit disappointed in their iOS output so far... I am really hoping Native Instruments steps up this year... Let’s see full fledged Maschine in iOS, as well as Reaktor and while they’re at it why not Kontakt? Oh yeah, have Traktor controllers actually run a real version in iOS, the current ports are WEAK SAUCE. I would love to set my iPad down and do everything from my S5... It seems like they could make nearly every one of their products as a full featured iOS app. Come on NI, we have spent way too much money on you to leave us hanging.
I’d like to see more clever sequencers like the Olympia Noise and Rozeta stuff. Also more intuitive controllers, utilizing things like gyro meter, accelerometer and camera data. More wacky / nerdy / expressive note pitch and velocity apps - not all of us think in terms of pianos or x/y/theremin, a really cool idea might be achieved just playing around with Lemur or touch osc and packaged as a stand-alone.
I’ve really gotten into ‘jamming’ in AUM, some midi recording capabilities inside the app would be easy and great to see... So when I nail that great Chordion riff it’s easy to get it looping in AUM. Have recorded midi data be exportable to other Daws as .mid files.
Take Chordion to a new level - I had a piano teacher who made this elaborate song writing hierarchy for me, each chord was followed by a list of possible choices, choose your own adventure style... Chordion could give you more elaborate / detailed choices for longer phrase experimentation, with color coding to show the resolution strength. I’m really looking forward to what Olympia Noise puts out in the future, keep up the good work guys!
Some sound and gesture controlled visual / video synths as AU plugins - this could be huge...
FX - this is where developers can go nuts, I’m a sucker for new FX.
To close out this laundry list, I just want to say how happy I am to be making music on my iPad. Something about using a laptop has conditioned me to feel like... If I’m using a computer, it feels like ‘work’, but if I’m on my iPad it feels like playtime. That difference is huge, and I’m excited to see it evolve. Cheers!
Yeah, running only on the new shiny iPad pros... not because they are the only ones capable of... but because apple can
Ableton iOS app in November
Cool, hopefully there is an AU version, not just a host... Of course both would be the beesknees.
Really?
Anyone fancy breaking their NDAs at this point?
hihi

Yes
Yes!
Yes!! as AU3
Yes!
Yes as AU3
New additions: Breeze 2 (2CAudio), Colour Copy (u-he) and still Replika XT (N.I.)
Heavyocity NOVO engine please to go as well.
And still Omnisphere 2 and Keyscape and Logic
Not to forget my fav. synth P900.
But i guess no chance of any of these soon.
Speaking of NDAs ... did that reeeealllyyyy huge thing ever drop that Doug at TheSoundTestRoom was talking about?
No, not yet. He confirmed that the gadget update was not that item.
There is one. Midisynth circuit editor. That market is so niche, I don't think you are ever going to get anything better than that.
I asked the Components team to see if they will make a iOS app seeing Google Chrome midi OS does not work on a iPad. I would love to use my iPad to transfer samples and settings.
This would be great if they did....the MIDISynth Circuit app is ok for editing the synth, but there is no way of using it for samples, and imho the components based synth editor is a lot clearer and easier to use.
Never going to happen but without any doubt Reaper.
I spent a considerable amount of time talking to the guys who made the editor when I did a youtube series on it and was developing the manual. They subcontracted with Novation for the original editor and then expanded on it for the other versions. I think Components is just trying to make the essentials available to people, I seriously doubt that they will expand much further into that area.
For what it is worth, I doubt that too much more growth will happen with the Circuit. 1.7 seemed to me a final breath for the device. Now, I'm not saying it isn't amazing, or that it is dead, but the Circuit is by far Novation's best selling hardware. It was for sure more successful than they intended and thus the expansion of features over time. I am sure allocation of resources is going to development of a next gen Circuit and probably have been for a while.
Any synth made by U-He. They have a great sound and innovative user interfaces. The Presets are like a box of chocolate (or crack) and I've only used the free ones on Mac but I've listened to the expensive ones and drooled. But buying on Mac's is a quarterly experience compared to the purchasing you can do in IOS every month.
