Help with Delay setup
I'm looking to put a delay line on some piano notes. I want the delayed notes to work similar to the preset 'Does it ever end' in the Tap Delay app by Virsyn, but I want it each delayed note to continue for so long and then just stop dead. I don't want the delayed notes to fade in amplitude before they stop. I need to be able to control the length the notes repeat for.
Any ideas?

Are the notes sequenced already or so you need to do it live?
I need to do it live. It won't be for sequenced notes. That's why I need to be able to alter the duration between note repeats and also the total duration of the repeats for each note played. This way I can fit it in with my playing and whatever BPM the song ends up at.
To alter the tempo (duration between echoes) it would be tap tempo, if you have no fixed tempo.
2 nd thing I am not sure I understand, 3 exact repeats here and 5 repeats here?
Haven't found anything that does that for audio on iOS, maybe try a mididelay?
(If not it's just more or less feedback)
Yeah I did say that a bit oddly. But not to worry about that side of it, I know what I'm doing there. What I do need to know though is how to get a certain amount of repeats from each note. The repeats have to remain pretty much the same amplitude as the first note until it ceases to repeat.
So say I play one note. I wish that note to repeat lets say five times from when the note first sounds without any drop off in volume and the same duration between each note. If in the mean time, I hit another note, I want it to do the same, 5 repeats, same duration between each note and no loss in volume.
Hoping that makes more sense?![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
The only thing I know of that does the 5 echos 3 Echos whatever thing for audio is this

The exact repeats are no problem for a mididelay, it just plays the notes again (so watch out with the polyphony)
But I haven't seen a mididelay with tap tempo.
Funny you should say that, I used to have quite a few T.C. Electronic rack effects back in the day.
Ok will look at midi delays then, thanks.
With the midi-fx iap in 'midisequencer' app ('echo', nr. of repeats) you could apply the effect on the first note, route aum's midi keyboard into it, and point midisequencer's output to your piano sound, @Fruitbat1919
Halving the feedback (in 'tap delay') or, if synced, to 1/4 or the like, will get you there but with fading notes, as you mentioned;![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
In general, playing with the delay time (or coarse time in 'aufx:dub' f.e.) and 'link' tempo in aum can give very interesting results
Yeah I need to make use of MidiSequencers effects, so will give that a go, thanks![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Surprisingly good way of applying midi fx (kind of, via cc's and midi thru) turns out is tc-data, here w/ iwavestation atm.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
