Elastic Drums Vers. 1.9.5 (the 27th update!) has lot's of great new presets by different artists and some bugfixes and improvements. • @magnum38 bought because I'm sure the pack's good and I'm really enjoying the update. Keep up the good work...!

  • Happy Birthday ED you deserve it!

  • I would really like to highlight the universal nature of this app. On an iPad, there are lots of options for drum machines. On an iPhone, not so much. So often I find myself going to elastic drums to get the job done. Olde-timers will recall that elastic drums originated on iPhone. Congratulations!

  • @magnum38 The new sample kit is excellent! I'm wondering if there will ever be a triplet function and/or the ability to change the number of steps? Ideally I'd like the ability to do something with a 12/8 feel...

I think you can change the number of steps, no? Change the "len." knob in the sequencer settings (stands for length, I assume).

I'm not a fan of drum machines but I love ED. And part of that is because I can jam on my phone anywhere. Good point made here.

  • One of the best apps that I just hardly ever use. I should do as I'm mightily impressed with what some of the guys have done on the presets.

  • It seems to be walking that line between complexity and simplicity (stuff you can do technically and stuff you will do actually) very well.

  • Happy Birthday!

  • Elastic Drums and I love each other, every day. Sometimes it's hard and dirty as fuk, sometimes it real slow and easy, but always happy at the end of the day. Share the love. Happy Birthday ED

  • Thanks for all you nice birthday wishes, I really appreciate this :)

If you are interested in some more details about the "whole story". I tried to write it down here:

  • I'm looking for a list of the samples included in the new IAP sound-pack?
Hope there is a way to 'export' the IAP samples for usage with other apps too :)

    That's the list then ;)

    Main categories are:

    • Chords (EPiano, Synth)
    • Drums (Acoustic, Electronic)

No you can not "export" for other apps. The samples were created for ElasticDrums only. Maybe that will be possible later, but now they are just inside the app

  • @magnum38 Thanks, got the IAP just to show my support :)
I was a bit surprised they were not too deeply hidden inside the *.ipa...
(I usually dig thru every *.ipa package I have for samples).

    Bought it, too. Excellent.
    but @magnum38
Possible to batch import other kits??

  • @magnum38 Happy BD to ED
    Amazing app! Words fail me

  • @magnum38 I think I've found something that might need a minor 'correction'.

There is currently no way to delete the rendered/recorded files unless hooking up a computer.
(Noticed I had ~1GB or so of rendered/recorded files in the iTunes Documents folder).

    Also regarding the 'Export'...

While I do appreciate dedicated Audio Share support I would love to see the classic iOS-Share Sheet for quick 'Air Drop' & 'Open In...' and if it's not too much hassle an iCloud Drive/iOS Document-Picker option would be nice to 'back up' both Audio and Patterns and well, for 'Import' too :)

Gotta say I love the Automation in Elastic Drums!

  • @Samu
Long press on file to delete- but it's a two step process, tedious if the recordings have piled up

Thanks! Didn't notice that the 'rendered' files end up in the same place as the other recorded samples :)
