IPad Pro: What else does person need?
Does it come stock with power adaptor to plug in wall or do I need to order it ahead of time like I did for my Launchkey?
What powered hub are you using to run IPad Pro AND a MIDI keyboard at same time on IPad?
THanks in advance.

It comes with a wall charger but it is very underpowered and you will do good to purchase a 29w USBC charger http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MJ262B/A/apple-29w-usb-c-power-adapter?fnode=8b
And this http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MKQ42ZM/A/usb-c-to-lightning-cable-2m?fnode=8b
If not you will notice your battery life dwindle whilst using power hungry apps even whilst on charge.
Indeed but only for the 12.9 versión
Which is hungry for power but lovely in every other way...
Yes only needed for the 12.9 I should've made that clear thanks @Lacm1993
You will also need the specific USB-C-to-Lightning cable. A regular USB/Lightning cable will NOT work.
So do these work with the usb3 usb camera adaptor ?
Of course, Why wouldn't?
The way it was presented seemed to make it a little complicated.
I am not sure what powered hub was recommended to use with a Launchpad Pro and my LaunchKey keyboard in the same iPad. I already have camera connection kit and the charging power plug.
My issue is needing a second place to plug in Launchpad Pro to same ipad as MIDI keyboard.
I made the wrong title in the thread originally.
I am a fucking moron.
That's $70 extra to make an Apple device charge properly, when it was marketed as a "pro" device. I won't digress into the discussion of why Apple didn't include this with the iPad Pro... but can someone at least suggest some good third-party options that work just as well?
I wasn't happy about having to spend an extra £80 for a charger that should be included with the 12.9 inch iPad but I bit the bullet and spent the cash on the apple branded charger.
Maybe someone who has purchased a third party can chime in but personally I wait until a well known brand like griffin or even amazon basics begin to make them.
If you want to run multiple USB devices (launchpad, launchkey, audio interface) and do it without plugging these devices into power....then use an ac powered USB hub, and use a decent quality branded one....the cheap ones available on eBay are not generally up to the job, the power supplies are very fragile, and on some when the USB traffic is high they suffer from timing issues. I personally use a belkin USB hub and so far it is working perfectly with up to 6 devices connected.
If you are going to plug all of your USB devices into power then you will most likely not need an ac powered hub.
I'm actually shocked they did this! freaking ridiculous. Pro eh...
@Hmtx
Cable:
I don't think you'll find the required USB C to lightning cable from a third party, and if you do it will probably be as expensive as the apple one, I don't think a cheap one will work (as it won't be certified)
Charger:
Technically any charger that's able to provide power to the 12 inch MacBook (2015-2016)
And uses USB C should work but in practice (reading customers reviews) I haven't find a single one that works for the people that buyed them (lots of complaints about not charging their iPad Pro 12.9)
I got the apple ones to be safe but I get it if you don't, it's advertised as "fast charging" but it's not, it's regular charging vs underpowered charging, It's just that a third party solution might not work at all.
I was relieved that my 12.9 charges OK on the 12W charger. It is just extremely slow charging during use.
thanks to everyone's complaints I actually expected it to be much worse![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
USB Type-C with Power Delivery 60W 5-Port USB Wall Charger

This looks decent, has good reviews for actually charging iPad and MacBook at 29W. Anker has become a fairly reputable Amazon seller so this would be what I'll get if I feel the need. Plus the official Apple USB -C to lightning cable.
Fwiw, I have had the 12.9" for a year and have only used the stock charger or my Apogee One and have never had an issue with how fast it charges. Granted, I let it charge over night. But I've never had any issues or felt the need for a better charger.
Instead of an a/c powered hub, what also works for me an unpowered hub connected to a portable power bank/battery with a usb A-A cable.
