Good protective case for the Air 2?
I'm looking for a good protective case for the Air 2, not one with a cover, just one to protect the device from damage. Any suggestions?

I love my case crown because of the typing angle. It's actually a great angle as a controller surface. Very snug, and lightweight.
It retains the original fold design of the apple covers. The new Apple covers don't have this angle.
And I got mine for $9 or something.
I also got a Kensington type+, which I like more than I thought I would, but I still don't use it daily. I bring it with me if I know I'm going to be typing a lot of email or something.
Amazon sells one by a company called Afranker that is my favorite. It has a smart cover, but to prop up the iPad & protect the screen I think it's okay, not too annoying.
Best part is the peace of mind you get from the heavy duty corner bumpers, TPU/polymer outer case and general heavy duty-ness of the thing.
Yeah it aint very pretty, but I have dropped my iPad a few times from a few feet up onto carpet, before I had this case, and although nothing happened to it the thought came to me right away that a bit higher & not on carpet, my iPad would be banged up pretty good.
It's under $20 so it's worth a look if you want a heavy duty case...
Is there any for the Pro 9.7'? It looks like the Air 2, but a case made for the Air 2 won't fit for a series of reasons. Need one specifically built for the smaller Pro.
I like the Lifeproof Nuud range, I have one for my iPad Air2 and iPhone SE

Thanks for the replies. Went with the Otterbox, good price at the moment (in the US at least):

I dropped my iPad Pro 12.9 onto a hard floor, face down, and it even slid a little. All it had on was the rubbery rear cover that Apple makes and it was perfectly fine. I've actually had the exact same thing happen with an iPhone with a similar case and the same outcome. I think Otterboxes and the like are overkill.
I accidentally knocked mine across my desk, and it slammed into a metal shelf giving it a nice mark on the side, which is what prompted this search. I also had a relative break a screen on their tablet, and this recent fumble of mine got me thinking. Overkill? Perhaps, but probably more just a case of better safe than sorry.
I got the original smart case,
expensive, but do the job.
And look nice
For those of us who have had a screen crack from a corner hit from a 2-foot fall, the Otterbox is most definitely NOT overkill.
