what are the options for uploading music to share here directly from my phone?
Seems soundcloud can only upload from pc.

You can upload to SoundCloud from AudioShare.
Every time I try it says failed upload error 422
I don't use either, but AudioCopy has the ability to share to SoundCloud.
AudioShare works for me.
Are you sure you haven't run out of upload space on SoundCloud? That can produce one of those failed upload messages.
It's the first thing I've tried to upload.
Maybe try a different network? Use mobile data as opposed to wi-fi or something.
