Stuck volume button.

Okay my friends, so I'm having a major problem with the iPad tonight. The down volume button is stuck in the up position. In other words, I press it down, and it won't decrease the volume, because it can be pushed in.

No, I don't abuse my iPad, nor have I ever dropped it, nor anything else. I am currently using the assistive touch workaround for now (and customised it so I have my two volume control buttons on hand), but what should I do? Should I get my iPad repaired, or replace it with a new one? Thank you in advance.

  • I don't think I have used my physical volume buttons more than a handful of times. If it causes no problems why not just use the software volume slider?

Suggest to google the topic first ("iPad volume button stuck"), seems there are lots of tipps and tricks/tutorials available on the web. Hope one of them in getting the issue solved!

I'm more used to pressing the buttons for quick volume changes mate. I did set up Assistive Touch in the meantime to act as my volume buttons. It works well enough for sure.

@LFS I'm probably going to take the iPad by Best Buy to see if they have any advice. I checked Google and think it's the best solution.
