midiLFOs number one feature request! (+ appreciation for midiSTEPs, midiLFOs)
Just wanted to put it out there - I really love these apps! I'm interested to hear how others are using them.
Just picked up midiSTEPs as a show of appreciation for my love of midiLFOs which I've had for a while... beautifully designed and powerful. I love using midiLFOs to modulate multiple MIDI CC parameters of some of the hardware that I have running into my iOS setup. Being able to limit the min/max values for each LFO allows for some beautifully subtle sound shaping possibilities, e.g. shifting variations in drive level or drum head tension within a certain range for a Nord Drum voice = every hit sounds a little different. Or the same for multiple effect parameters for an H9 algorithm, even just the Hotknob. midiLFOs has added so much character to my sequences and performances that I just had to come and share the love.
I'm really looking forward using midiSTEPs to sequence multiple Nord Drum voices - it seems like a perfect fit - a Nord Drum is essentially six monophonic synths in one unit for those melodically inclined.
I don't think I could end this post without a feature request. But to be clear: my main message is one of gratitude and appreciation for the apps as they already are.
In a perfect world, if I were to request just one thing, it would be: in midiLFOs, to make the min and max values for each LFO mappable to an external controller. I'd love to be able to control these values with a physical MIDI controller during a performance without having to go into the app and do multiple taps. The possibilities for real-time performance tweakability would be incredible. If this were to be implemented, I'd be more than happy to - for example - make a video to promote how awesome the app is, or buy an IAP, or donate, or just about anything.
How do you use these apps?

I would use MidiLFOs all the time if only there was a quicker way to switch between apps on iOS, or the multitasking was way better.
Yep, I hear you. I tend to outsource it to the iPhone while using the iPad for the heavy lifting.

Heard there's a new midiLFOs update coming, just wanted to bump this feature request: the ability to map the min/max values for each LFO to an external midi controller. Would LOVE this.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Very much looking forward to checking out the new midiSTEPs features as soon as I have a moment, too!
@artkerns
MidiLFO is like a jackpot for sonic dithering.
Love the way it brings to life the mundane synth sequence or bass sounds.
I use it with Caustic.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
One of my favorite utilities. Thinking about it my top utilities get used much more than my top apps.
Midilfos
Midiflow and of course
AudioShare
Ps I find it's usable as a multitask sidebar app, just like midiflow (debugging midi is a sinch). @Fruitbat1919 How would you improve it?
I would like to see Link, for me it takes ages to get midi sync working.
I would like it to become AU for switching purposes. Ok I know there may be some problems with the current AU extension for the midi side of things, but at least fast switching to it while using AUM would work really well.
At the moment the switching of multitasking apps on iOS is just too slow and cumbersome in my opinion.
I use it with my Volcas.
Would be cool if it could get on the bus so that switching was made a little more seamless.
